I'm flying into to Denver tomorrow evening for the San Diego game. I'm staying downtown. I'm looking for any advice anyone can offer on the best way to enjoy the game. I've already accumulated a list of places to eat/drink/watch football. Most seem to be on Blake Street near Coors Field. Is it easy to get cabs downtown?
What about transportation to the stadium? I see there is a light rail that can take me there that leaves near Wynkoop. I also see bus routes. I'd prefer the train, but do I have to buy a ticket before or can I get it when I get to the station? Can I walk to the station? Is there a certain time to avoid the train?
I would appreciate anything anyone has to offer. I know it will be cold so I'm preparing for cold weather, but I'm from Richmond, Va. so I don't know if our cold weather matches what I will experience in Denver, especially in the stadium.
I'm pretty excited about this game, but I want to make sure I'm prepared so I can relax and just enjoy the experience. I'm hoping people who have done this frequently might have some advice to give. Thanks for your time.
