The Grief Cycle - Denial, Anger, and Acceptance

I believe that I, like many die-hard Bronco fans (pun intended) am working my way through the Grief Cycle.  In the off-season, I DENIED there were fundamental weaknesses with the team, including an in-experienced head coach, key injuries, a mediocre quarterback, etc. etc.  After a few humiliating losses, the ANGER stage kicked in, and I joined the crowd with pitchforks and axe handles and screamed (in a blog) to fire McD.  At this point, I have no choice but to ACCEPT that this is a lost year and we have a crummy team.

However...as many of you long term Bronco fans know, this is not the first time we have been at the bottom of the league.  And sometimes you have to see the bottom to really appreciate success.   I do not know what the future holds for the Broncos, but do know I will be a fan forever, and the next time the Broncos are on top, I will appreciate it all the more.

Go Broncos!
