Calling all armchair QBs and armchair Front Office guys. Let's discuss what YOU would do with the team if you were Pat Bowlen in charge of the Denver Broncos. Answer these questions (and if you don't feel qualified, ask those of us who like to play pretend for details on why things will or won't work):
- Who would you bring in as General Manager?
- Who would you bring in to be the new Head Coach?
- Who should be the Offensive Coordinator?
- Who should be the Defensive Coordinator?
- What other moves should be made to make this team a winner?
- Marty Schotenheimer is my #1 choice for being our new GM. He is experienced in the NFL and has a great eye for football players. I loved beating him back in the day, but I'd love him to be on our side now.
- Gary Kubiak needs to get back in the Orange and Blue. If Houston lets him go (possible), he needs to come home and head this team in the right direction.
- Mike McCoy should be the consistency from our current leaders. He's got a solid Offensive mind and could keep some level of consistent play on the offensive side of the ball.
- Wade Phillips is the best man for this job. I don't buy giving Wink another year for a second. Even with admittedly poor personnel, I think he's done a poor job play calling. Wade is a great DC and I'd love to see him back on our sidelines.
- A no-brainer to me is to get Elway involved in the team. This should happen right the hell away. He means to much to not be a part of this team and has some great business sense to add to our franchise.
-
- Keep Orton to be a back up
- If Champ won't move to safety next year, let him go.
- Trade DJ for what ever you can get
- Draft heavy on the defensive side of the ball
