With LaDainian Tomlinson's career in San Diego declared all but over and Darren Sproles facing free agency, the Chargers are exploring possible trade scenarios that include dealing cornerback Antonio Cromartie to acquire a running back, according to league sources.

straight trade for any two of our running backs....

except that Crom’s 2009 was actually quite weak compared to 2008….
C an u say Portis for Baily?

Straight up for Ronnie Brown

Deal is money for both squads. Miami’s starting CB’s would then be Cromartie and Sean Smith. Try throwing over THAT wall!

And make Vontae Davis, a 1st round pick last yr, a nickel?

Idk, its a good idea, but Ricky Williams has admitted hes not playing much longer. And on top of all that, do you wanna play against him 2x a yr

Shopping Cromartie?

Well I guess they realize their first round pick isn’t all that good. After is breakout year he really hasn’t done much.

Agreed.

Cromartie isn’t anything special. Good luck SuperChokers in getting much for him!

San Diego is due

to regress next year. They may still be the favorites, partially because of Rivers and their lines, but with no running game and the pending loss of a couple of players (including this possible trade scenario) I don’t see them as being any better than last season and more likely down. Denver, and even KC and the Raiders could all start to even things out with them. Anyway, would rather not trade with SD. Let them lose their key players somewhere else, I’d like to keep our RBs thank you. ;-)

There's no need to fear, Underdog is here! / Broncos/Dodgers fan in Niners/Raiders/Giants country, and damned proud of it.

If Underdog is correct

the Los Angeles Chargers will recur as the thin-skinned San Diegans will not support a team that loses, thus making them losers. Bolts From the Blue is the biggest joke in the SB Nation realm.

how about our 6th rounder?

We have a good history of 6th round 1,000 yard rushers being drafted. It’s a winning gold ticket.

Not that I’d want Cromartie… isn’t he the one with 24 baby’s mommas? Am I still thinking Travis Henry?

Lack of a pass rush can make any CB look weak.

I’m a bit shocked at the perception of Cromartie’s value. He’s a very good CB and only had a down year because the Chargers pass rush was slim this year. I for one will be happy to see him leave the division (hopefully).

SD should definitely keep him

To me, cromartie represents everything the chargers are all about. Everyone loves them in august because of their athleticism, and their jerseys look cool. But when you need them to step up and make a play the most, they always choke. (See shonne green).

I'll bet if we included Marshall....

we could get Cromartie for Knowshon and Hillis.

On second thought, maybe we should throw in a second rounder?

Step aside, my friend, I been doin' it for years.

Interesting comment

Sounds like the stuff you hear over at the DP. Did you just come from there and decide it was so funny it needed to be here? Why is everyone all of the sudden ready to dump Moreno or even Hillis for that matter?
