Haze's Quick Draft
My mock draft doesn't have us making a lot of trades like many others do. Most notably, the Bmarsh trade ideas, which aren't going to happen. Although I'm quite sure that Shanahan will try to get Hillis from McD and over to Washington.
1st - Rolando McClain ILB
2nd - Jon Asamoah
3rd - Tyson Alualu DE
4th - Joe McKnight RB/KR
5th(Hillis to Redskins) - Myron Rolle DB
6th - Eric Olsen C
7th - Zoltan Mesko P

I Like it......
I that happens I would be happy……
Other needs could be taken care on FA.
I'd be happy with that draft
Though I don’t believe McClain will fall to our pick, and I don’t know that we’ll draft a punter seeing as we have three currently on the roster.
Is Asamoah a better prospect than Pouncey?
Or do you feel that Pouncey will be gone by the time our second comes? I’m just really excited that we might get Pouncey and am setting myself up for dissapointment that we may not get/want him. I think he’ll be a great center in the future and feel that we really need him.
It takes neither courage nor intelligence to cheer for a team only when that team wins. The true test of a fan's mettle is the same as it is for a player: Were you there when you were needed?
aka Solace
like that (and Kudos to haze0949 for his MOCK)
I don’t know if I like Asamoah although he’s a good fit from a MOCK construction point of view. I’m getting picky on the Guards and I’m not comfortable with a lot of them at this point.
We can and should sign a UFA at Guard to replace Hamilton — assuming Seth Olsen isn’t ready. In this scenario, it’s not necessary to take an OG very early just because we’ve identified that position as a need. And I realize that this sounds like a radical about-face on my part.
My impression is that the UFAs at Guard are fairly plentiful and that we can’t afford trying a longshot of trying to find a starting Guard in the draft. Our primary focus should be Center, but I’m not ruling out taking anyone in the interior-OL if there’s adequate justification at that point.
no goats, no glory.
I'm wondering if the coach will pick a QB in the latter rounds?
My quess is he will, but which one? Skelton? Pike? Good mock.
If this is what happens, it will be a good draft for us.
I would be surprised to see McClain drop this far – but he would be a very good pick. I think Pouncey will go late 1st or very early 2nd. Last year Cleveland picked their OC Mack after their 3rd trade at about #21.
Nice work. Thanks for your time and energy.
Cleveland ended up with Mack as their pick in the 1st round.
My brain is doing incomplete sentences today.
As a no trade draft, well thought out..
Right now McClain is rated at #11 overall and I do not see the top 10 changing. Those players are not surprises or unexpected players so not much will change.
And the top 10 teams have other gap needs by the draftek’es. KC may surprise at #5 but who knows.
Now Jon Asahmoa is rated #59 and being a g he should be available at #45.
I do agree about punter, we have really two so why use a pick.
I like it
The one exception would be the punter. I would take Riley Skinner as an additional QB instead
I have so many friends some I haven't even used yet

Have to disagree there..
.. I mean he is called Zoltan.. if he doesn’t have magic feet i don’t know who will.
Zoltan
He might make it to the 7th, but I doubt it. He’s likely the first punter off that board. My guess is he goes in the 5th.
