Good Morning Doug, Thank You for all you do on Horse Tracks...
Real Power, comes with the realization that One cannot change the Moment;
only ones perception of it: Atitude! JQM
Thanks Doug
Sorry to have been scarce with the thank yous lately. I always start my day here.
For some reason that will never be clear to me, I decided to click through to the comments on Klis’ mailbag. Now I want to wash my eyes out with acid.
Anybody want any updates about the suicidal funk of Bears fans? I honestly feel bad for them. Ownership wants a new coach, but is too cheap to pay Lovie Smith not to work. And now the team is like kryptonite for new coaching hires — why climb on board a sinking ship? It really is sad.
I have this odd feeling
that they’re just a franchise quarterback away.
Yow! Zip! Ping!
"All we're trying to do is win the *********** game!" -- Josh MF McDaniels tearing into his offensive line after three false starts in the red zone. The tirade turned the tide of the game, and the Broncos dominated from that point on.

He actually defends both McDaniels and Orton
and, btw, great job a usual Doug

I posted this link on DenverStiffs...
… but thought it was relevant here just to contrast Karl’s coaching philosophy with McDaniels’
http://www.denverpost.com/sports/ci_14321305
Basically, Karl said that his own impatience and using assistants to deal with JR Smith led to resentment by JR, and that he’ll be more communicative with Smith.
How long before McDaniels’ learns that kind of humility?
I think it was... uh...
What year was it that he lost that important game in high school? He was, like, 15 or 16, right?

Karl / McD
Basically, Karl said that his own impatience and using assistants to deal with JR Smith led to resentment by JR, and that he’ll be more communicative with Smith.
How long before McDaniels’ learns that kind of humility?
Well, Coach Karl has been a Head Coach since 1984. So it took Karl 26 years to learn that lesson.
I guess the bigger question here is how quickly do you expect McD to learn that lesson? McD has 1 year of Head Coaching experience compared to Karl’s 26. How quickly do you expect McD to learn something that took Karl 26 years to get?

I have to ask
Do we have reports of McDaniels using assistants to deal with players (such as Marshall & Scheffler), and that doing so has led to resentment on the part of players?
I’d love to see a link to such a report.
If not, then your question lacks credibility.

Thanks, Doug.
Your works is always appreciated – especially by this Colts fan.
I deserve a Super Bowl because karma knows that I've suffered enough and that it is my fate and destiny and that I'm due on the 7th of February. I'm indeed naming him Lombardi.
