Does the Freeney injury effect the Superbowl outcome?

Freeney had 13.5 sacks and has been dominant for the Colts.

A hobbled Freeney could  give Manning some extra time, but Robert Mathis the other end also put up 9.5 sacks and 5 forced fumbles this season.

Freeney's backup is Raheem Brock who is solid against the run,  but does not attack passers the way Freeney does. Former Bronco Defensive Coordinator Larry Coyer (Colts Defensive Coordinator) has said about  Brock that: "He's very versatile,'' Coyer said of the 6-4, 275-pound Brock. "He can stand up and play. He can get down [on the ground] and play. He's got some traits.''

Jermon Bushrod a Saints backup left tackle since all pro Jammal Brown went down for the season will probably have problems with Freeney, but may be able to handle Brock on many plays.

The bottom line is that Manning and Colts passing game is so good that the Freeney injury should not change the outcome. The only way for the Saints to win this Superbowl is to get a lot of turnovers like they did against the Vikings.
