Colts Choke in the Superbowl

Big upset for the Saints in 31-17 win.

The Saints really played well in the second half starting with the onside kick to shock the Colts. The big interception of Peyton Manning by Tracey Porter on a 74 yard run back for a TD sealed the win for the Saints.

The offensive stats were fairly close with 333 yards passing for Manning, and 288 for Brees. The difference was Brees had 2 TDs passing to Mannings 1.

The Colts offense stalled out in the second half scoring only 1 TD. Schockey had a nice catch for TD in the fourth quarter.

Freeney only had 1 sack, and there was a lack of pash rush on Brees in the second half.

Both teams were equal in red zone efficiency at 66 percent.

The difference in the game was the Saints scored 17 offensive points in the second half, and 7 defensive points. The Colts offense was not getting first downs, or scoring much in the second half. The Saints secondary played well in the second half, and Manning went 31/45 for the game.
