Favorite Superbowl Commercials
Well, I thought this year's commercials were a bit lackluster. I mean, some were downright awful (the Coke Simpsons one comes to mind) and the typical GoDaddy Danica Patrick ones are just getting old! Not that I really liked them to begin with... I know a lot of my friends loved the e-Trade ones, but I don't particularly find those that funny either.
But I thought there were a few to write home about. Here were my favorites, let me know yours!

Doritos won my personal ' Best Commercials' award
They all were funny, and basicly the only ones I had a good laugh at..
The 2020 MVP one was great as well..for the rest they were disappointing.
I voted for the Doritos Dog…but all of the Doritos commercials were winners in my book..
Bleeding Orange & Blue in The Netherlands
Agreed... the randomness of all of them was solid
Even the Samurai one was pretty good… but I thought a step below the Dog and Kid ones.
I like the Dorito Kid
I cracked up when the little kid smacked that dude and said “stay away from my Doritos and stay away from my mama!”

If Taylor Swift were to try and tackle me, I'd let her.

Have to go with Polamalu
I agree that this year’s commercials were not as good as years past.

The only one I actually laughed at.
It takes neither courage nor intelligence to cheer for a team only when that team wins. The true test of a fan's mettle is the same as it is for a player: Were you there when you were needed?
aka Solace
None of the above.
I personally didn’t find any commercial this year to be either funny or progressive. Even my wife, who lives for the commercials, was very disappointed, until the Bud Light commercial with the asteroid. She dated the balding guy with the black glasses in high school.
lol nice
Yea, like many of us had stated… very subpar this year. They let us all down. It seems like we either get a Superbowl of good football or good commercials, but rarely ever both.
That’s funny about your wife and the commercial guy. I liked that commercial ever so slightly only b/c I’m a big fan of Lost and it had the Darma Initiative Japanese guy in a labcoat.
Worst half time show ever, worst commercials ever
I don’t think the SB commercials have been any good for years. I still have the tape of SB 32 and 33, and the commercials were really good back then (remember the frogs?)
Or maybe I’m just getting to be a cranky old guy. Anyway, I did get a kick out of the Doritos dog commercial, when that sick f**k tried to hurt the dog with the shock collar – I wanted to kick him in the b***s, but the dog went one better.
Take it easy. But take it. Studs Terkel
lol, maybe...
The novelty of funny commercials during the Superbowl is starting to wear off. Or perhaps our expectations are now too high. Or maybe the poor economy has robbed us of our creativity… =/
tunga it's about the only time we don't see the same commercial 9,000 times.
That’s all, just something different.
hey now....
The halftime show wasn’t bad…I love the Who and couldn’t have been more happy to see them playing

I enjoyed the Who
Even though it made me feel very, very old. Even my wife said “I remember when Townsend had black hair”……Aaargh.
Also, after seeing the Tebow commercial, WHAT THE HELL was all that crap about it being a hate filled pro-life get it banned now crap? I liked it and saw nothing evil, vicious and hate-filled about it. Good Lord, these stupid people and their trying to censor everything is really starting to p**s me off.

Tebow commercial
I agree. Maybe a little smarmy (c’mon, Timmy, grow up and get a girlfriend already) (j/k), but it certainly wasn’t some guilt trip message aimed at pro-choice people. Just a story about a woman who faced a tough choice a couple decades ago, and how the story had a happy ending.
The prophet Elijah told Ahab that the dogs would lick his blood, and so it came to pass, as you would imagine, since only the successful prophets are remembered.
LOL.... the new Generation.
GenX grew up and still lived with their moms…. GenWhateverItIsNow still make commercials with their moms.

Why do we feel that even the commercials during our entertainment have to be entertaining?
Having said that, my favorite was the Snickers commercial.
The Audi ecopolice and Bud Light lost spots were worthy competitors.

If they weren't entertaining, we wouldn't watch them.
There were times, in superbowls past, when the commercials were more entertaining than the game (some Bronco blowout losses among them, unfortunately). Since then, they’ve taken on a life of their own.
I enjoyed the Budweiser human bridge commercial
and my favorite was the house made of Bud Lights. The 2020 MVP was good, too.
I think this negativity is the same as anything else: If you expect awesome commercials, and build them up in your mind too much, you are bound to be disappointed. If you just chill and roll with the flow, you’ll have a good time. I thought the commercials were reasonably entertaining.
I did not think the Denny’s screaming chicken commercials were funny. the rest were OK by me.

That was a commercial?
I thought I dreamed that. Oops.
