Crackpot Pork Chop
Pork Chop's article linked by our own Sports Guru must just be for fun. I hope they are joking that age is a concern of the Brocons defense.
Super Bowl XXXII defensive starters Neil Smith, Michael Dean Perry, Ray Crockett, Tyrone Braxton, Steve Atwater and Bill Romanowski all started the season well over thirty, finished the season a half a year older (average age 32), and rocked Green Bay for the Broncos first world title.
Guess what, Pork Chop, they were all a year older when they blew out the ATL in Super Bowl XXXIII!

Tubbs Williamson.
The only paid journalist that has found a way to use the words “really” twice and “decent” twice in one run-on sentence.
What does "really decent" connote? It’s is like saying my T-shirt is "extra medium".
In my opinion.

Is that anything like "exceptionally mediocre"?

Micahel Dean Perry wasn't on that team or a starter
Keith Traylor and Maa Tavasu were the starters, the following year, a second year player named Trevor Pryce was the starter.

Same reason I guess we let Shannan Sharpe leave
We made a deal with Art Modell to support the Ravens after they left Cleveland by sending our good players to Baltimore, in return we would sign the Browns bad players.

Because every time
Denver had a D-Lineman that was successful, Shanny never had the money or desire to invest in the same guy at a higher price when it came time to resign the player or the contract ran out.
Bert Berry – 14.5 sacks his first year w/ Arizona (‘04)
Reggie Heyward – 8.5 sacks his first year w/ Jax (’05)
Trevor Pryce – had 13 sacks his first year in B-More (’06)
Gee, I wonder why Denver’s Defense kept getting worse. They could have had ALL THREE of the above players on their line at the same time, and over the course of 3 seasons, missed out on 36 sacks!!!!! And, of course, sacks were one of the many weaknesses of Denver’s mid 2000’s defenses.
The 2007 Broncos sack total (after those 3 players were gone: 33 sacks. Thats LESS than the number of sacks each of those players had their first year away from Denver,
Thanks Shanny. I know Pryce was expensive but Berry and Hayward were frickin’ bargains! Thanks for robbing players like Champ Bailey and DJ Williams of a supporting cast in their prime years.

Maybe we can use this to our advantage
Brian Orkapo will be available when his contract is up. Could be a bargain.
I think Shanny would find ways to get rid of players like Sharpe, Pryce and Clinton Portis (traded for Champ)
if they didn’t kiss his butt right or if they looked at him a little crossways. Never could figgure out Shanny’s logic with players or the draft.

There's a difference
We are bloggers…Choppy is a paid journalist. He gets paid to post his stuff…it is and should be held to a higher standard.

The worst
Williamson is an amateur at best. He posted news stating that Jamal Williams was on his way to New Orleans. It just happened to be the same day he was signing in Denver, something he failed to mention!
