Is there cheering in the courtroom?
I don’t think I’m exaggerating when I say the jury’s decision to find Willie Clark guilty on all counts in the murder of Darrent Williams is the most exciting news to hit Broncoland since the team reached the AFC Championship Game following the 2005 season.
A great piece by Mike Klis if the Denver Post. Solid Work!

I sure would have cheered.
What is his sentence? Probably life behind bars with pudding and 3 hours of rec room a day. Not to get all political or anything…
yeah well...hard to be political when its the truth.
I’m not a big Klis fan, but maybe that’s because he doesn’t usually write from the heart. Perhaps he should do it more.
Verbose in style, dispersion of thought, procrastination in life.

I guess this means he will be gang-banging at SuperMax down in Florrence, Co.
This is great news, I hope they never let the punk out! And shame on all of those witnesses who wouldn’t testify against him. At least the jurer’s weren’t swayed by his intimidation!
I hope
Clark gets shivved by a Broncos fan in the shower.
thats not even the worst thing that can happen in the shower

I hope there's no cheering

justice won today
and that’s huge. i do think average people have the right to be happy when a community says,“not here” to a murderer. there’s a lot of brave people where i live who have put their butts on the line in real ways these last few weeks to see that the law got through and i couldn’t be prouder of them.
i know what mrs. williams is saying, exile, but i guess i think there’s room for some cheer in this case, while not forgetting the people involved.
with apologies
for being a drama master on that last post. sheesh. not sure what happened there but, dammit, while i’m at it, God bless America!
okay, done with my pacino-esque outbursts for today.
I'll second your God Bless America
I just don’t see how cheering or any feeling of elation is useful or appropriate. To all those who put their neck on the line, it’s great to be proud of their courage. Cheering or elation is what I disagree with. Relief, accomplishment, closure…ok… but cheering? Sorry, I don’t see it.

since we're on the same side
i’ll cheer quietly. as you pointed out, emotions rarely come to the dance stag. there’s room for more than solemnity or sadness in this, without excluding either.
sorry, one more thing...
Justice won for 1 of the shooter’s today. Yes I know they did the best with what the DA had to use, but where’s justice for the second shooter?

anyway
i guess i’m splitting hairs with you because, like i said, you and i aren’t the jackasses going around shooting people, so it’s a mild disagreement.
it's quite worthy of discussion even if we're splitting hairs
when thinking the second shooter will find their time, I’m always reminded of the quote from “the way of the gun”, “karma is justice without the satisfaction.” Maybe satisfaction is a good word after the trial. Satisfied that justice was serve, that there is a conclusion after 3 years finally. Satisfaction can be a good emotion without exactly gleeful or cheerful connotations.
Maybe I’m just semantic and rant too much though.

He was a special player that shined every time he was on the field. I hope this can give everyone closure to this awful ordeal………
BTW…. Davis and Parker have just been released.
