Ok now what?
As a man I, WE do not like to admit when we're wrong or we don't know whats going on but now...WTF is happening???
What i DO know:
We now have two starting caliber quarterbacks who both know the New England system.
Last year we took a running back as our first pick because he was Quote "best player available"
Biggest need is the O-Line
What i DO NOT know:
Who we are going to draft.
Who the best player available is going to be at 11.
I hate to say/ask this but...
But can someone PLEASE tell me who we are going to Draft?!
Dez Bryant-Too many problems and not proven, might as well keep B-Marsh if we're thinkin Receiver
Dan Williams-JWilliams, Bannan, Baker, Smith, thats alot of compitition for a 1st Rounder
Rolando McClain-Found out he has Crohns Disease, which causes him to take plays off
Pouncey/Iupati- Do we really take an O-Lineman this early? Ryan Clady was the exception.
Anyone???

McClain DISCLOSED that he has Crohn's . . .
. . . but he’s been diagnosed since HS, and I don’t remember seeing any suggestion that it affected his play.
I myself
have seen the man play (McClain) at Alabama and the boy is a beast! He has more leadership at his age than anyone i’ve heard of, and the recent cut of Andra Davis shows more spots for an ILB ie McClain. I just hope he can keep it up the whole game.
Golden Tate
Maybe not at 11, but this kid is going to be offensive rookie of the year. STUD
A vision without a plan is just a dream. A plan without a vision is drudgery. But a vision with a plan can change the world.
My friend, I have come to ease your emotional pain
There is a man, yes, he’s only a man, but the rumors are that he might be super human, and this man is named Eric Berry:

The Dude abides. I don't know about you but I take comfort in that.
McBath is our future safety...
…unless Berry falls to us. Besides, I don’t see that they both couldn’t be the future with Berry at SS and McBath at FS.
Doubt he lasts that long, but I would be smiling if he did

The NFL aint HS or college dude...
I say he’s a risk, the intensity and physical requiements could only exacerbate the problems. He’s stepping into an environment which even the most gifted and healthy find a tremendous challenge. Add to that his disease, lack of speed and lack of 375lb NT keeping the Olinenam off of you for 3 years….Im saying he’s had it easy. He can’t be our 11th! No way! Dez Bryant, I hope we don’t need him because of Marshall, but furthermore if we do need a WR, it can’t be this poser! He’s a Crabtree waiting to happen. Especially with a rookie cap going into effect in all likelyhood. We don’t need ANOTHER diva. Hang on until the 2nd round, grab Thomas or Been or Gilyard….

Seriously?!?
You’re going to avoid a kid who’s basically Al Wilson on steroids, a blue chip defensive QB, a coach on the field in a 250lb body, because he has CROHN’S Dz??? I’m not saying you have to take him, but that is not a reason to avoid him, that’s an excuse. I hope we’re smarter than that.
Yeah...all of you dissing McClain because of Crohn's are being ignorant
It is something he can control or he wouldn’t have made it through college with the type of career he had without it coming out.

Exactly...................
He has shown enough at the college level to be considered a first round stud. I guess Crohn’s disease wipes out all that talent? C’mon I say take him at 11 and don’t look back.
C'mon draft! I am ever the optimist! What a fun time of year!

And what you’re not hearing is that Crohn’s cannot be predicted by past levels of severity. This is a common misunderstanding, but it’s medically incorrect. Ponderosa is currently running an ICU and has 30 years of experience in the field to my 25. He has told folks the same thing that I’m saying.
I like McClain as a player and I wish him well. However, perhaps you might lighten up on the ‘ignorant’ stuff. The probability is that he will struggle with this disease. That’s not an opinion – it’s a matter of medical fact. I hope that he is one of the relatively few spared that, but if so, it won’t have anything to do with what did or didn’t happen in college.
A better analogy is to know that a player has a hip defect – a partial dysplasia, for example – that hasn’t harmed his game so far. Will it? Probably. Can he finish his career without it stopping him? Perhaps. But you’re still using a #11 on a player with a substantially higher level of risk.
It all starts with the lines
Hard to say vala
Last year, I personally thought we needed an ILB and a NT. You know what happened. This year I see things different, but the only thing I can tell you is, they will probably surprise us again.

Some how we draft?
Broncos some how land two of the following in first 3 rounds;
Bryan Bulaga, Mike Lupati, Vlad Ducasse, TeMaryius Thomas, Bruce Campbell, Bryant Dez, D. Williams, Rolando Mclain, and or Tim Tebow.

My guess:
McX seems to want to get “the best player available” at a position we have a stud veteran (Moreno learns from Buck, McBath and Bruton from Dawk, Phonze from Champ). While also accounting for need (Ayers). My image of McX’s draft board is: 1. Berry 2. Hayden (who I hope for) 3. Williams 4. McClain. If one of these is there I’d bet we jump on ‘em. If not a trade down is quite possible, with a reach for Iupati being a possibility due to need. I’m sure no one has our draft pegged, but withholding anymore mooves I’m guessing (and hoping) our draft starts with one of these guys, and has G, LB, CB/KR and yes WR/KR in the 1st four rounds. If they see the guys they want, in those positions, when our number comes up. I hope I’m right. Thats why this time of year is so fun. It’s like a Christmas wish list.
If you wanna know what McD is gonna do...
Just think of the exact opposite of what you would do in his place, and pull the trigger.
That being said…With the #11 pick in the draft, the Denver Broncos select : Tim Tebow!
;-)
tidbits
Crohns – I’m a lawyer not a doc, so I’ll defer to Doc Emmitt. But I do have knowledge of IBD’s. Chohns disease is the worse of the lot. It can progress unpredictably and its attacks can render patients in need of hospitalization, surgery and the need to go on powerful immune depressant therapies that, in turn, create the possibility of harmful side effects. We don’t know the specifics for Rolando, but I don’t think we can rule out the possibility that this is a serious concern.
Golden Tate – I’ve thought about him too and like him. But I see him as a slot guy and I think Denver’s interest will hinge on whether Eddie is moved to the slot.
Bronco79 – nice list. I’d insert Trent Williams right after Berry. Top tier OT’s prospects are often taken in the top ten (or 11) these days. I think his best position may be RT, but Trent could start at Guard, would provide insurance for Ryan Harris and maybe even better insurance for Clady (God forbid) than we currently have on the roster. Trent would be a good draft value, he fills the team’s strongest immediate need and he has the versatility McD covets. It’s not easy to find premier OT prospects.
