Buffalo Bills sign former Broncos LB Andra Davis, DE Dwan Edwards to contracts
The deal was reached on Tuesday during Davis' visit to the team's headquarters. Davis is an eight-year NFL veteran, who spent last season with Denver before being cut by the Broncos last week.
The Bills also agreed to terms with DE Dwan Edwards

I think you got this backwards.
Edwards would have been the consolation prize if we hadn’t landed Green.
In my opinion.

Hey Dre'
Thanks for given us “all you got” in 2009! We wish you the best in Buffalo!
How the Heck is Hillis supposed to Run You Over if he plays in Cleveland...
My condolences on your handle.

Disappointed with losing Davis
Felt he could have still contributed, was a favorite of mine last season even though was somewhat one dimensional.
I second HillisRanUover’s words though, best of luck in Buffalo! Will miss your leadership and grit!
yeah I am too in a way,
but since his release I have thought that McD/X is paving the way for McClain…If he is then in two or 3 years we’ll all forget about Davis…
Im still a bit PO'd about losing out on Dwan Edwards too!
We had a chance to bring 2 Raven DE’s into our Dline. They’d compliment each other. Frankly, I think D Edwards is a better fit than Jarvis Green. And Edwards is only 28….
We must do more on Defense before the draft….but we’re running out of UFA’s, all’s that’s left is the dreaded RFAs, and nobody’s touching them so far. Can you blame anyone?

complement
Sorry, not normally a spelling nazi, but after seeing one too many Josh McDaniels transcripts regarding “complimentary football” (“Nice job, DJ!” “Oh no! You had excellent form on that pass rush, Elvis!” “Oh, I think you both are looking quite dapper in your helmets!” “Gosh, thanks Champ! You have excellent hip swivel, by the way!”), I have to point out the difference between “compliment” and “complement” when I can.

Buffalo? You'd think he'd have learned his lesson after 8 years in Cleveland.
Just kidding. Classy guy, wish him the best.
I realize that Schefter is pretty accurate
But NFP says Dwan Edwards leaves Buffalo without a deal
it was posted at about the same time as this.(07:02 PM EST)

that's really odd to see two sources be directly conflicting at exactly the same time
but based on how the article was written, it sounds like Denver didn’t want him b/c of injury issues

I thought it was price
That was the reason dwan made so many trips.

He may yet sign
This is from Pat Moran
I just got the chance to speak to Adam Schefter. According to the ESPN Insider, he reported that Dwan Edwards has reached an agreement with the Bills but has not signed a contract. Given how often he breaks transactions in the league it’s not far-fetched for some reporters and websites to misuse his words, so Schefter was gracious enough to make them crystal clear with me.
"He hasn’t signed, Patrick. I reported he reached agreement." Schefter told me directly in an email.
"Only way he doesn’t play for Bills this season is if something unexpected happens at the last minute. But I’m fully expecting Edwards to be a Bill."
Check out his twitter page for evidence. Clearly Schefter said the Bills reached agreement with Edwards, but didn’t say he was signed.
So as of now Edwards has not signed a contract with Buffalo, but he’s reached agreement. Obviously that’s almost always a prelude to a deal but until his John Han**** is on a contract, Edwards remains a free agent.
For now.

WOW
If Edwards did sign with the Bills im shocked. He actually would rather take money than being succesful with a team. I feel bad for Andra to

This makes me glad!
Mario Haggan our own OLB/DE had a 30 minute phone conversation with Dre’ and told him he would love playing in Buffalo! Mario a former Bills player said that he would like being there and it is a nice place. That’s say alot about the character of Mario in not saying anything bad about his old team. I admire him for that and so does Davis…
Good for Davis. He gave us a great season and helped me get over the Nate Webster fiasco.
In my opinion.
Thanks for the flashback
I almost forgot about Webster until now — Master of the Flying Guillotine Helmet
Glad to see Davis found a new team
I will admit that I wasn’t exactly blown away when we signed Davis, but he proved to be a great addition and I am still confused to why we cut him. Davis played very well and seemed to be a solid influence in the locker room and on the field, I understand he was limited athletically, but he showed great heart and passion on the field. Too bad he had to move to Buffalo, I heard he really enjoys Denver and wanted to be here long term.

The difference
between this year and last is……. when we (Broncos) release a player he actually gets picked up right away!!! This story tells its own tale.
It was great having A. Davis here; he truly embodies professionalism and was great in the community for his short stay.
Also, McD bringing in GOOD persons to play for the team is beginning to rub off on the fans. Hopefully this continues so we can weed-out the generation of the unappreciative fans that emerged during the Shanny post-Elway years. Thanks for bringing people who are accountability and possess good character to a city. It’s a pleasure to root for athletes who contribute positively to our community, and others, and understand they’re privileged to play this great game we know as football.
McD’s commitment to this should not be discounted – great job McD!!!!!!!!

Good luck in Buffalo, Andra!
The Bills are probably the team in the AFC East I have the least problem rooting for, so I won’t mind watching him have some success there.
