Quinn and Wild Horses
I'm putting it out there now so I don't have to keep harping on it in my comments. I think we got Quinn to run the Wild Horse/Wild Cat formations. His passing is better than a running back who might otherwise get the snap. He can spread out and and probably run a route and even catch a ball. He is a QB in that he can make those decisions on the fly. He is athletic, strong, and gutsy. I don't see him beating out Orten as a drop back passer, but why not trade for Quinn to specifically run the Horse package? That's what I see in this deal.
OK, got it off my chest, I'm out now, let's wait and see.

Wats up Bronco Nation...............
I think i am in the minority in that i think Quinn can still be good given time and being coached up by Mcdaniels. However my main reason here is 2 ask u about a former back of yours Mike Bell. The Birds hav signed him 2 an offer sheet and i dont think or at least i am hoping the Saints dont match it. So my question is wat went wrong with him here and did the Bronco community back the move of getting rid of him ????
Shanahan's bad books
I’m losing track of the years but he was the lead back for a short time. He had a few key fumbles and basically never got another chance. He was a well liked player and one of those players you felt went out of favour a bit early.
Gave maximum effort, was passionate about the Broncos. Was mainly famous and well remembered due to winning the #1 RB spot as a UDFA in training camp…

Shanny moved him to FB
When Shanahan moved Bell to FB, he didn’t respond well. Got discouraged and had a bad attitude. Though I don’t think we as fans ever saw it, Bell admitted as much this past season.
Overall, he’s got decent size, fairly good vision. He’s definitely a one-cut, downhill style runner. He’s not going to run by anyone, but he’ll lean forward and get plus yards more often than not. Don’t remember if he had good hands out of the backfield or not. Hasn’t had the injury issues that it seems like your Eagles have dealt with over the years, so that must be a plus for you.
Personally, I really liked the guy because he was a huge TD fan. People were pissed when he got #30, but he called TD to ask him if it was OK for him to wear it. If he was OK with it, then I was.
Step aside, my friend, I been doin' it for years.

How often do you hear someone apologizing for having a bad attitude...
…When it hadn’t been a big deal in the media beforehand?
Much respek for that. Mike took responsibility and didn’t blame anyone else for his being cut from the Broncos.
thanks for the info.............
Yeah i was pretty pumped when i hear we signed him 2 a offer sheet, we were also considering Justin Fargas , another guy who you guys are familiar with. I am more on the side of going with Bell, but try 2 be as unbiased as possible who do u guys like better Bell or Fargas???/

both of them are "thumpers" when running the ball...
Bell is younger, but I am not sure how durable Fargas is now. Both will give you a full effort.

the Wild Horses is different than most wild cats
its main purpose is for Orton to get a read on the defense. if he wants a run he snaps moreno. Otherwise he goes back under center.
I don’t see how Quinn would fit into that.

No doubt there is a play or two in the playbook having two quarterbacks on the field at the same time,
but we won’t know if McD will use them until he does.
Only against his nemesis Belichick
I could see Quinn catching passes in the Wild Horse.

DEAD HORSE
just a thought, please no more wild horses…wild cats or wild hair brain ideas.
the gig is up…it fools no one.
all points well taken
i’m gonna stick by my post, mainly because i can’t see quinn beating out orton so i’m trying to find another reason we got him. i do believe he has the athletic ability to be a wild whatever guy, and maybe for a future 6th round pick we figured we’d go for it. Again, i can’t see him winning the position and I’m giving mc’daniels the benefit of the doubt, so that’s where i see him coming in and adding value right away. Thanks for the feedback.
