My most recent Mock
I've been doing the exercise every week of filling out a mock. Its interesting to see how they evolve with free agency or new aquistions. However, I liked this last one. I took the angle of what are our positions of need and then picked a player I felt comfortable with. For example today I read a scouting report on Ted Larsen the C from NCST and put him in there at 173. Like fitting in pieces of a puzzle I filled out our picks instead of just starting from round 1 down like I had been doing. Here is what I came up with:
11. Dan Williams NT/DT Tenn
--I read somewhere he would be an excellent 5 tech for a defensive line, of course he has the ability to anchor the nose as well, I like the quality of the player here at a position McDaniels has been trained to take high.
45. Vladdimir Ducassee, OG/OT UMASS
--O-line is high priority in this draft, here is another versitile player that could fill in at tackle if needed, I like this players intangibles too, I believe a team captain and leader type McDaniels covets
80. Akwasi Owusu-Ansah CB/KR Ind.
--This is a small school kid or else I think he would be rated higher, but he can fly, and has the talent to develop into a good starting corner for us with the added bonus of being an outstanding kick returner
111. Donald Butler, ILB WASH
--I'm not sure this player will be here in round four, might have to trade up in the round, but I've read good things about him in a couple places, and his draft stock has been rising.
173. Ted Larsen, C NCST
--This guy is a 5th round rate, but I encourage you to read his scouting report on NFLDraftscout.com. He used to be a d-linemen that was converted, he anchors well, has a nasty streak, and because of his previous experience knows what the defender is going to do.
204. Andre Dixon, RB CONN
--This guy is the number two in a one two punch, He was paired with Donald Brown last year in school. He is quick, and has good hands out of the backfield, He was disappointed in his 40 time, but I think this will help us be able to land him.
I enjoy all the comments on the site and the opinions on prospects, I learn a lot from you all.

This mock is money.
I like it a lot. I have only minor issues with the later round selections. My personal preference would be a running back no later than the fourth, if not the third. I would love to draft a kick returner and punt returner type of player to take over for Eddie Royal but I don’t know if we spend a third rounder on someone who will most likely exclusively do that for awhile and not be a positional player immediately. Love the first two though.
Thanks for the comment, is RB that high a priority with Knowshon and Buck? Who do you like in that range?

I love Buck but don't think he can
be counted on as a full-time #2. If you look at some of the players we have worked out, they are 3rd round type RB’s. In the third round, I like Toby Gerhart or Ben Tate.
Love to read mocks for different idea's..
but when there are errors due to lack of digging for data makes them lame.
Denver does not have a #173 choice.
As of today Denver has #11, #45, #80, #111, and #204
Offense needs help
Agree with you on all points except 11th pick in the draft. Broncos need to score more points and we’ve signed Jamal Williams at NT. Only one player possible that we use 11th pick for Rolando McClain other wise we trade down or even out of the first round to build with additional picks and secure O-line & ILB with additional 2nd or 3rd round picks in the draft. I predict if McClain is off the board before 11th. Denver trades down and select WR. I’m hoping it’s DeMaryius Thomas huge 10.5" hands and great value in lower half of 1st round. O-line & Ilbers available in 2nd & 3rd rounds.
Sidebar: DLMyers; I think you missed one pick I thought we had 1,2,3,4,6,7 = 6 picks right?

sure if they don’t feel there is a player worthy of the 11 selection I would love to trade down to address the multiple needs we have, I’m always disappointed there is only 6 picks to use
