Rules
-
When commenting in mock draft posts, please do not use the "subject" line for anything other than to announce an official pick. Limiting the use of that space will make the picks, as well as the announcements that I will make in that manner, stand out and therefore make the draft itself easier to follow.
-
When I announce that THE [LOCATION] [TEAM NAME] ARE NOW ON THE CLOCK, that team will then have three minutes to make a selection. Once the pick is recorded, I will then move things along by making the pertinent announcement. Do no make a pick unless I have put your team "on the clock". You are encouraged to make your choice public as soon as possible.
-
When you make an official pick, you will announce it in this exact format: WITH THE [X] PICK IN THE DRAFT, THE [LOCATION] [TEAM NAME] SELECT: [PLAYER NAME], [POSITION], [SCHOOL]. You will do so in the "subject" line of the comment box and you will leave the message space blank. You and/or others are encouraged to comment on the draft by replying to official announcements so long as you observe the general rules that govern this site.
-
If a representative is not available to make a selection, I will make the pick for them at the conclussion of their team's alloted time. I will do this by selecting the best player available according to their target list and/or CBS Sports' NFL Draft Scout's Top 2010 Draft Prospects list. At my discretion, however, I may deviate slightly from the strict definition of BPA.

I like the Denver picks sayre, but Jahvid Best? I wouldve liked Cam Thomas and Sean Lee with those two picks. Best IMO is too one dimensional, and doesnt offer much in the return game.
Thanks DBroncs,
Trust me, there is a method to my madness. I grade Best as a mid first round pick, so I was ecstatic to add him at 47. I don’t think he’s any more one-dimensional than Knowshon Moreno is, but if you want to go that route Best is lightning to Knowshon’s thunder.
Sean Lee is a fine prospect, but you’ll note that he’s also still available. Jahvid was incredible value at 47.

Fair enough on Best, I too thought he was a first but the more I learn about him the less i like. I feel tho if we do go scat back i’d like one with return ability. And I wouldnt call Knowshon one dimensioanl. He can catch, block, run inside and run outside. There is some misconstrued belief he cant run outside because he didnt break any big runs, but that is false. he ran to the outside very well v Gmen if u watch the tape
but again I would like to reiterate great job on the draft and stay away from the negative. If Denver makes these picks I will be very happy

Bowman is a late first round, early second round talent. Getting him as the last pick in the 2nd round could be the steal of the draft.

Sash needs to get into better shape though. My buddies have played BB with him at the fieldhouse and he’s a bit pudgy. It shows deep into the INT returns he’s had.

Yes EJ. Sorry I missed the 33rd pick. I was having power outages due to the big snowstorm we had here.
Love my draft for the Pack
Anthony Davis, Ricky Sapp, Reshad Jones. All value, all significant needs.
Luck is probability taken personally, clutch is probability attributed to individuals.
TAC's Colts draft is great too
Charles Brown, Jason Worilds, Javier Arenas.

outside of the Chiefs who basically stole the draft
who got 2nd place? The Bucs had a solid “A” draft as well. We filled a lot of needs in all 3 levels of Raheem Morris’ defense. WR was probably the biggest need on offense and we filled that capably.

The Lions!
Not a “steal” but Suh, Kyle Wilson, and Jon Asamoah. They are ALL an instant upgrade!
Just give me 25 guys on the last year of their contracts; I'll win a pennant every year....Sparky Anderson
sorry I missed the "LIVE" draft, but can I switch my two thirds for guys that were not drafted but were on my BPA list?
for #88, I had Thadeus Gibson OLB ohio state on my list but not Cunningham
and #89 had Brandon Ghee CB Wake Forest, and not Cook
one could argue that what I was given may have been better, but since I missed the live part, I just prefer the picks come from my list. The first and second round worked out great.
I will get a write up to you as soon as I know, I sent in my BPA list Sat morning at 8:16 eastern

I'd say the Pats had a pretty brutal draft.
If this is the way it played out, I’d be very disappointed.
We end up ignoring the LB position in this OLB rich draft to go for a 4-3 DE (we run the 3-4) who is most likely going to be a bust, since he’s played only 1 real season of football. We go with a DE in Carrington who would be a good pick, if it was done later in the round. Then, we went WR, again overlooking the needs at OT and, most importantly, LB.
If we DID do the trade, he’s what I think should have happened:
11th: Brandon Graham, OLB/DE Michigan. I can’t see us trading up to grab a player out of the top 5, which means I can’t see us trading up at all. However, if we DID trade up, Graham would be the better choice due to his experience as an OLB.
44th: Rodger Saffold, OT UI. We need help on the O-Line and in the LB core. Saffold is the best tackle left and we can still address the LB position later.
53rd: Eric Norwood, OLB, SC. He has played at an elite level in the SEC at the OLB position for 2 seasons. He’d be a great pick-up.
And yes, I realize that I picked to OLB players.
We need THAT much help with our LB core.

MHR draft 3.0 should be more helpful towards the Pats
I’m taking them in the next version. In 1.0, I took Kindle, McCluster, Shipley, and Houston

So...
Who sabotaged the Giants draft with Sergio Kindle?
Lamarr Houston’s great in round 2.
Spievey’s OK in round 3, Giants already have 3 solid corners. But have 1 1/2 safetes, so I’d rather have look at a safety.
But for real….Kindle? How?
