New Mock Draft - What is going to happen!!!
Wow it has been a crazy 2 years but I do really like what Josh McDaniels has done with our Defense the last 2 years. McDaniels switched us to a 3-4 Defense with Excellent results and in year 1 he transformed our Secondary from poor(Marquis Manuel , Marlon McCree and Dre Bly) to Brian Dawkins , Andre Goodman and Renaldo Hill. This year he has IMPROVED our Dline immensly - Justin Bannan , Jarvis Green and Jamaal Williams are all excellent upgrades. Heck I would have been happy with just Justin Bannan alone.
After listening to McDaniels talk about Brandon Marshall , there is little doubt that he really thinks Denver will trade Brandon. So here is my guess on what is going to actuallly happen.
Denver will trade Brandon Marshall to Seattle for the 14th Pick. They will concede the 6th and accept the 14th pick.
Cincinatti will trade a 3rd Round Pick for Tony Scheffler. Cincy got a extra 3rd in Compensatory Picks and Scheffler would be a great pick for them.

2010 NFL DRAFT
1st Round Pick 11th ---------------------------------------------------------------- Dan Williams - NT - Tennessee - 6'2" 329lbs - Denver jumps on the best NT in the draft with the 11th Pick because hopefully next year we are drafting 32nd. Williams will be a perfect player who can play both NT and DE and will take over for Jamaal in 1-2 years.
1st Round Pick 14th ---------------------------------------------------------- Maurkice Pouncey - Center / Guard - Florida - 6'5" 304lbs - Denver drafts it's starting Center for the next decade and yes 14 is high but there is alot of talk that Pittsburgh really likes Pouncey.
2nd Round Pick ------------------------------------------------------------------ Carlton Mitchell - WR - South Florida - 6'3" 215lbs Denver drafts this big WR who has ton of potential.
3rd Round Pick ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Amari Spievey - CB - Iowa - 5'11" 195lbs McDaniels loves his CB's.
3rd Round Pick (via Cincy)------------------------------------------------------------- Clay Harbor - FB/HB - Missouri St. 6'3" 252lbs - This guy is a excellent Football player and McDaniels will love his versatilty.
4th Round Pick ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Brandon Spikes - ILB - Florida - Yes Spikes has now fallen from 1st / 2nd Round to 4th/5th Round due to poor forty time. One scout said that no ILB has been drafted running slower than 5.0 seconds in the forty in the last couple years.
6th Round Pick ----------------------------------------------------------------- Dexter Davis - OLB - Arizonia St. - Excellent LB to groom.
7th Round Pick -------------------------------------------------------------- Javarris James - RB - Miami

Final Thoughts
1. By drafting Dan Williams Denver gets the best NT in the draft and with Jamaal Williams injury history and age I think it is a great pick. Williams will have 1-2 years to learn from Williams.
2. Maurkice Pouncey is the best Center in the draft and at 14 , it is a little high but he fills arguably our biggest need and Pittsburgh and Philly have a need at Center.
3. Carlton Mitchell has a very similar skill set to Brandon Marshall and hopefully he can reach it.
4. Clay Harbor is a Monster pick. He is a hard working player that McDaniels will love.
Any thoughts?????

You had me at Williams....really want this guy and it's perfect value/need ratio
at #11. Alittle reach with #14 but again, HUGE need and getting most likely the best player at that position in the draft, like the big reciever pick as well. Nicely done and not that far fetched either.
Umm
Haven’t you claimed most of your previous mocks were “What is going to happen”? Where is the McNabb trade you said was “going to happen?” Maybe you should just title your mock “Version 186” or whatever, like Sayre does.
Anyway, Williams and Pouncey in the 1st would be a wet dream scenario. Doubt it happens but it’s nice to think about. And I’m assuming you have Cincy giving us their regular 3rd rounder, not the comp pick, for Scheff, since comp picks aren’t tradeable?
God Broncologist you are negative.
And Dan Williams and Maurkice Pouncey are possible in the 1st if we trade Brandon.
And yes it is Cincy’s original pick – I know u can’t trade compensatory picks.
Did you have your coffee this morning or are you just picking on my post???

IT IS FOR FUN
Hey broncologist, he is just having fun and I doubt broncosfansd is the only one to make a bad prediction. I did a mock draft and said denver would trade for Quinn and I got bagged for it. I also said we will trade up for SUH and I dont see that so we all make wrong predicitons, but it is fun to do so.
2/3 of the earth is covered by water the other 1/3 is covered by Champ Bailey!
THIS IS BRONCOS COUNTRY!!!

I was bagged for picking Quinn a couple of weeks ago too
You just never know what’s going to happen. While I agree with some of the trades in this, I disagree with some of the selections.
A vision without a plan is just a dream. A plan without a vision is drudgery. But a vision with a plan can change the world.

Even if we take the deal for BM of #14
Jax is trying to trade down right in front of us. Miami might jump us for DWilliams. Not trying to piss on your parade, just food for thought.
Also, you might want to check out Spievey’s Pro Day stats before still assuming he is going to go in the third round. You know what they say about assuming.
Nice prospects there and it would great to get a couple of them,
although I am not fond of Pouncey at 14, but he would love you very much for giving him so much money for his worth. I think if McD is really targeting him he can be had in the 2nd.
Spievey!!!
He clocked at 4.57 in the 40-yard dash, and benched 225 pounds six times.
Little slow for a 3rd round corner and 6 reps for an athlete is very weak
Were Better With Brandon Marshall
No Deal – No Trade: I am one who wants to keep Brandon Marshall. Our offense needs him a play maker. Also draft bigger Oline to score in the Red Zone. I fear without Marshall the offense will be worst than last season. Without Marshall the only play-maker we have is Eddie Royal, a big question mark after his rookie season. Stokley is old and injury prone. We should keep Marshall and draft another top 3 WR e.g. DeMaryius Thomas opposite Marshall. Move Eddie Royal to Slot and Stokley will back up on 3rd down. Start Gaffney at #3 WR… Any thoughts???

Brandon Spikes?
I know he ran a bad 40 time but there’s no way he goes in the 4th! In fact i’d be surprised iof he gets out of the second round.
Watch the tape!
Dan Williams
wasn’t he originally supposed to be a second or third rounder based off of his play in college?? So why in the world would we pick him at #11 just because he had a good workout. I agree that he’s probably worked himself down from his initial projection, but we have way too many SEC fans on MHR that only look to draft from ‘their’ conference. Decker is a much more polished WR to take in the second, he doesn’t just have ‘potential’ he has all the tools already working and in place to be great in this league, except for his lis franc foot thingy.
I know posting a mock is all in fun and I commend you for posting you wishes/dreams, I for one would not be happy taking a player that high who prob shouldn’t be taken until late first or second, it just shows a poor drafting philosophy by drafting a ‘need’ over best available.
Oh yeah, and I’m pretty sure that 6 foot 2 is almost pushing it for Williams…. He’s maybe 6’3" 330 or so…
and by poor drafting philosophy
I was referring to the hypothetical that McX would do it, not that your ‘ideal’ mock situation was a porr drafting philosphy.
