Ring of Fame
With the news that future Ring of Famer Jason Elam will retire a Bronco, I feel this is a fitting time to bring this up. My Dad had an idea a couple years ago around the time the Hall of Fame voting was happening, and I thought it was really good.
So currently, a player has to have been retired for five years to be considered for the Ring (with one notable exception), and if they are inducted, it would be after the Hall of Fame induction that year, and the voting would probably take place later than HOF voting. What if a player only had to be retired for four years to be eligible for the Ring of Fame? This way, when they became HOF eligible, it would already be on their resume that the Denver Broncos recognized them as one of the best players to ever be part of the team.
So what do you guys think?

Not a bad idea, but I doubt it would sway the HOF voters much
Considering the historical snubs of ex-Bronco players, I don’t think the Ring of Fame has any bearing on what a HOF voter thinks.
