Tony Scheffler and a draft pick

I was thinking if we could trade Scheff and a draft pick (3rd or 4th IMO) to Cleveland for Shaun Rogers we would have a revamped line. The Browns currently have five TEs on their roster with the best of that group being Robert Royal? (They don't have much) I'm a big fan of the TE position and feel it is undervalued until you have a great one and see the impact one can have. Scheffler however is a pass catching TE that causes some match up problems, but doesn't seem to fit into/buying into what McD wants to do here in Denver. Cleveland could use a nice weapon at the TE position to help Brady Quinn and get a draft pick where a solid football player can be had. Just want to see what MHRers thought on this.

Scheffler for Brady Quinn, straight up. That’d be a nice trade for both sides.

It would probably take Sheff and a 2nd round pick,

I think Clevland wants to keep Shaun, and needs a deal edging towards thier favor. With what we’re doing in FA, I say no. That 2nd and even 3rd round pick is pretty valuable.

While Wallace isn’t necessarily a starting-quality QB, I could see Holmgren starting him before the second half of the year.

^Needs explaining: don't call someone asking uncomfortable, slightly antagonistic questions trolls. In all odds they probably just want to learn. It's real easy to differentiate a 'Socratic' post from a trolling one (unless you're a resident of WCG).

I would be all for this trade but

doesn’t seem like it will happen now. I was going to say that I thought that Martin Rucker from Missu was clevelands best TE. But he was released and now plays for Philly. Maybe we can get a 3rd for sheff from the browns.

With BM not even being worth a 1st rounder as it looks right now. no way we get anything better than a 5th for Sheffler if we can even get that.

That is something I’ll never understand in the NFL. If Seattle thinks BM is a player they want why wouldn’t they give up the 6th pick? BM is better then the 6th pick in the draft. He’s a proven star in the NFL something the 6th pick is not. They’re going to have to pay either one a lot of money so why not spend it on the proven player & let the Broncos roll the dice with the draft pick. I’ll admit I love the draft & if you’ve seen my mocks I like to load up on picks, but in reality I’d take a proven player that would help the team over a game of chance. That said I hope BM can work everything out & stay in orange & blue for his career.

If Greg Olsen is worth a 2nd rounder then Sheff is worth a 3rd.

B-Marsh is so under-rated value wise. People keep saying that you don’t know what will happen with Brando if Denver were to give him the Big Deal that he deserves (sp) but I really think that Brandon really loves the game and wants to be one of the all time greats. No way that B-Marsh isn’t worth a first is Jay Cutler is worth TWO.
