A little Tuesday evening fun
If you are looking for an insightful post, you have come to the place.
The Broncos have many questions this offseason. Will Brandon Marshall be traded? If so, will we get at least a first round pick? Who will fill the gaps on the interior of our offensive line? Can Kyle Orton lead us to the playoffs? Not many questions evoke as much passion as the questions surrounding Brandon Marshall. I have the definitive answer to the second most controversial question on MHR after the jump...
To draft Tim Tebow or not to draft Tim Tebow: that is the question. The answer to that question was answered some 2,000 years ago.
There are mixed emotions on Tim Tebow's future as an NFL quarterback. It seems people either love or loathe him. There does not appear to be a lot of middle ground. He does without a doubt fit the character mold of a McX type of guy which may put him on our draft board. For the record, I do not want to see Tebow as a Bronco. I will not get into the merits and pit falls of his abilities. However, I will get into the greater forces at work here that none of us can control.
There is this book called the Bible. Some of you may have heard of it before. This book is filled with many chapters (books) and verses. Probably the most famous verse is - "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." To sports fans, we know this as John 3:16. We see this all the time at sporting events. In fact, Tebow can be found with this on his eye black.

Why is this significant? If you tie this back to the NFL Draft, let's just say the 3:16 refers to the 3rd round, 16th pick. Any guesses on which team has the 16th pick in the 3rd round this year? I wouldn't be writing this article if it wasn't our beloved Broncos. So as much as it pains me to say, it looks like Tebow will be turning in his Gator orange and blue for Bronco orange and blue next month. Don't fight it folks, embrace it.

Great
It’s like our draft is predestined by the DaVinci Code. Plus, with the looming work stoppage in 2011 and the Mayan-predicted apocalypse in 2012, this may be last season of NFL football ever!
Don't forget...
The Magic 8 Ball and Ouija board…
Don't spend too much time on Tebow
He won’t make it past the early 2nd round. Seems like most of the gurus are making all kinds of comments that add up to: He won’t make it in the NFL, he has no under center experience, his footwork is bad, he is not accurate, his long ball floats, etc. But, let me tell you, in Florida it was said that there were hundred’s of fans paying $160.00 to get his autograph. The Jaguars are lusting over him as a ticket seller. I know that will not win games but, he will grow into a very good quarterback. He has the fire in his belly!!! This kid is humble. He doesn’t care if he is the first pick or the last pick. That is the difference. He just wants to play football and get as good as his God given talents will carry him. Again I say, in my humble opinion , If the Broncos want him they will have to do something to get a higher 2nd round pick. I am going in the face of many of you guys but it is really how I see it Thanks McManJoe
I think he really may be picked in the early second round or so, by a surprise contender for his services.
Jeesh, even Vick got a contract as a backup, and I think Tebow can out-perform him given a year or so (especially at this stage of Vick’s carreer). However, that is probably not where we would best spend our pick this year. That said, I agree that he is an intriguing story and I will be watching to see if he can achieve the retooling. He certainly has all the other intangibles. IF he falls to us at a later time, and IF McD/X consider him BPA, nab him and see what develops.
I just threw up a little bit too
But if he is still on the board a 3:16 what do you think we should do?

I respectfully diagree J Man
But I’m biased as you can see by my tag line.
Quite an observation MileHi!
The QB position is set.
I'm all for him.....
I think he’d be similar to a V. Young who had leadership ability, better passer, better work ethic, and crazy good competitiveness. I find little not to like about the guy…..
I do think that we’ll know more after his pro day. If he can change his mechanics in a matter of a couple months and wow people then he’s a shoe-in 1st rounder imo. If he isn’t successful then maybe I’m wrong and he won’t work out. I’d gladly take him with a 2nd.
Good point, Kgrone
One other issue – he did change his mechanics once. It was unsuccessful. Each time he was under stress in game situations, he reverted to the windup. This doesn’t mean that he can’t change the motion. It does mean that being about to show a change during a pro day workout with his own receivers and no defensive pressure is just fine, but it’s doesn’t say much about how well that will hold up.
It all starts with the lines
LOL
This was a hilarious post. Rec’d for entertainment value

Are you on the rise? Are you falling down?
Let me know, Come on let's go, yeah
Got some if you need it!" -EV

Thanks
Thanks sad. Gotta have a little fun with all the stress of everything else happening.
We would have a better chance than a one legged man winning at a butt kicking contest than we would have of drafting Tebow.
IMHO, it won’t happen. Good griff McDalready has his hands full with the three that he has…
Hopefully McD believes that he won't have the time
to let Tebow sit on the bench and slowly become a differen’t qb that he is now. It’s win NOW, hence the signing’s we’ve had lately. No time to waste, or picks for that matter.
