Option 3 for pick #11
We have all speculated about what to do with #11. From taking best player available, like McClain or Bryant or Williams or Haden or Thomas. Then there is trading down, a great option this year due to the depth of the draft. But trading down means you need a partner who wants to move up and select a player of their need. IMO this year will be hard to do that.
Now comes the third option. Select then swap players. If no deals can be worked out to satisfy the draft chart value, they still can agree upon needed players for each team. Example; lets say McX can not get value for #11 but really wants a certain player with value at #20 and Houston wants the player at #11. Denver takes Haden and Houston takes Pouncey then they swap. Usually another player from Houston would be included.
Just another option

The advantage for Denver
is they can be sure Pouncey would still be there at 20, before making the deal. Otherwise, they could just swap picks.

Talk about rolling the dice....what if we draft the player THEY want and the player we want gets draft before
they pick. We’re totally screwed. No way!!
I think the assumption is that...
… Haden (in this scenario) would be the BPA for the Broncos at 11.
