Stedtfeld's Denver Broncos Mock Draft 18.0

This should be my final mock. Well, we traded Scheffler, and a 7th round pick, for the Eagles' 5th rounder. We are rid of all distractions from the Broncos. I am soooo excited for the draft, it's probably not even healthy. I just want to skip ahead to Thursday at 6:00 PM right now. Anyways, here we go..

I still think we should trade down. But for this mock, I'm going to trade down farther..

TRADE ALERT

Houston receives: 11th pick overall

Denver receives: 20th pick overall, 51st pick overall

With the 20th pick in the 2010 NFL draft, the Denver Broncos select...

Maurkice Pouncey, C, Florida

No surprise here. Pouncey could anchor the middle of our line for 10+ years.

TRADE ALERT

Baltimore receives: 43rd pick overall, 2011 2nd round pick

Denver receives: 25th pick overall

With the 25th pick in the 2010 NFL draft, the Denver Broncos select...

Linebacker Sean Weatherspoon #12 of the Missouri Tigers in action during the game against the Baylor Bears at Faurot Field at Memorial Stadium on November 7, 2009 in Columbia, Missouri.

Sean Weatherspoon, LB, Mizzou

Another shocker. I have really fallen in love with this guy (as a football player) in the past few weeks. The thing that really makes me want this guy is that he is great in the passing game, which would be great, after having Andra Davis, who was pretty bad there. Sean is also a great run stopper, having 388 tackles in his 4 years at Mizzou. He's also a leader and a good guy, someone that's easy to cheer for.

With the 45th pick in the 2010 NFL draft, the Denver Broncos select...

Damian Williams, WR, USC

I would be very disappointed if we didn't get at least one of these talented wideouts in the 2nd-3rd rounds. Damian Williams is my favorite of all, I think he's definitely a possible pick for us here in the 2nd.

With the 51st pick in the 2010 NFL draft, the Denver Broncos select...

Toby Gerhart #7 of the Stanford Cardinalis escapes the tackle from Malcolm Smith #6 of the USC Trojans during the second half at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum on November 14, 2009 in Los Angeles, California. Stanford won 55-21.

Toby Gerhart, RB, Stanford

It's hard not to like Gerhart, he's an absolute truck. I hope this pick comes true, because he and Moreno could blow defenses up, with an improved line, of course. He's pretty dang fast for his size, and he can run people over, and find the end zone.

With the 80th pick in the 2010 NFL draft, the Denver Broncos select...

Wide receiver Jordan Shipley #8 of the Texas Longhorns runs for a 28-yard touchdown against the Alabama Crimson Tide during the fourth quarter of the Citi BCS National Championship game at the Rose Bowl on January 7, 2010 in Pasadena, California.

Jordan Shipley, WR, Texas

Shipley would be a great pick here, great value. We get another great route-runner that is very elusive with the ball in his hands. An alternate to this pick would be Eric Decker.

With the 114th pick in the 2010 NFL draft, the Denver Broncos select...

Alterraun Verner, CB, UCLA

I've really wanted Verner since early January, and I'm stickin with him. This is one of those picks I can really see happening. And I hope it does.

With the 137th pick in the 2010 NFL draft, the Denver Broncos select...

Armanti Edwards, ATH, Appalachian State

Most talented player in Div II for sure. He won the Walter Payton award twice. This just makes our offense that much more dangerous. He could maybe someday become a Josh Cribbs type of player for us, just making big plays.

With the 183rd pick in the 2010 NFL draft, the Denver Broncos select...

Joe Hawley, C, UNLV

We hope Hawley would add some depth to our interior line. And by the way, doesn't he look just like Alan Garner? At least his beard does..

...And as an UDFA...

Brandon Banks, WR, Kansas State

He comes in to take returns. He will not be able to play receiver, so he would strictly return kicks/punts, where he's very deadly. (hahaha take a look at Alterraun Verner's picture again..)
