Adam Schefter reports both Green Bay and Philadelphia are looking to trade to the 10-12 positions. What are the possibilities for Denver trading with one of these two? Who might be available?
Green Bay is obvious they would have to trade #23 and #56 to move up. Philadelphia would have to trade #24 and #55. But Philadelphia has a little more flexibility. They could trade like # 24 and #37 and #55 and Denver give up #11 and #43.
Who might be available? Specifically IMO Pouncey, Iupati, Demetrius Thomas, or Weatherspoon. Now before I hear the "On no! That player will never be there at that position" remark. I have seen many mock drafts that have these players available at 23-24. The thing to remember is this is a deep draft and players are going to fall. For example if Haden falls to Pittsburgh, they will definitely take him there passing on Pouncey. Pittsburgh would be the only real threat to take Pouncey before #23. Pittsburgh might also take Iupati over Pouncey. My point is that considering players 12-30 are pretty close on par with each other there will still be excellent players available at 23-24, so I believe Denver would be wise to take one of these teams up on their offer and pick up an additional pick in the 2nd round.
I like the idea of trading #11 and #43 with Philadelphia for #24, #37, and #55 because it is also possible one of these five to drop even to #37 but, very unlikely to #43. If Denver misses Pouncey, Tennant should be there at #45.
