No-Trade Mock, Stedtfeld's Last

Ok, I lied. I said my previous mock would be my last, but I decided I might as well do one final one, the day before the draft. I am sooo excited for tomorrow! But I still have school tomorrow, so I'll have to get through that before we get to the draft...I can't wait to find out who the newest Bronco will be tomorrow. So let's do this one more time, till next year..

As the title indicates, this mock will include no trades. I obviously don't believe that is going to happen. But we can't really predict all the trades that the Broncos will make, so I'll just stick to the base picks.

With the 11th pick in the 2010 NFL draft, the Denver Broncos select...

Rolando McClain, ILB, Alabama

I would like to trade down and get Weatherspoon possibly, but with this no-trade mock, I gotta get that stud from Alabama. McClain would hopefully become a Ray Lewis/Patrick Willis type of player for us, and a leader of our defense. There is no doubt he would be a big upgrade to our defense.

With the 43rd pick in the 2010 NFL draft, the Denver Broncos select...

Damian Williams, WR, USC

If you don't know yet, this is my favorite guy for this pick. I love Williams, and he would definitely help in getting our talent at the receiver position back. Best route-runner in the draft, and great after the catch. I really will be watching for this guy on Friday.

With the 45th pick in the 2010 NFL draft, the Denver Broncos select...

Vladimir Ducasse, OL, UMass

I know that many of you want Gerhart here, and so do I, but Ducasse would just be such a great pick for us as well. We need to improve the interior line, and Ducasse can play OG. He could also be depth at OT, especially for Ryan Harris. Our rushing game improves with this pick.

With the 80th pick in the 2010 NFL draft, the Denver Broncos select...

Eric Decker, WR, Minnesota

The thing you hear most about Decker is that he catches everything that is thrown at him. I live in Minnesota, and am a gophers fan, so I can tell you firsthand that this is entirely true. He doesn't drop balls. He is nothing amazing after the catch, but he runs solid routes and makes the catch.

With the 114th pick in the 2010 NFL draft, the Denver Broncos select...

Alterraun Verner, CB, UCLA

I've been loving this guy as Denver's pick since early January, and it hasn't stopped. I think it's for sure a possibility, because he seems like a McDaniels guy, and they brought him in for workouts. He could be a shutdown corner in the future, and could contribute in special teams right away.

With the 137th pick in the 2010 NFL draft, the Denver Broncos select...

Armanti Edwards

Armanti Edwards, ATH, Appalachian State

A lot of Broncos fans here have jumped on this guy, picking him with the hopes of him being a Cribbs-type player. I think he will be a play-maker, and would make our offense more dangerous. He could definitely run the Wild Horses, if McD wants to go that direction. Good late-round pick if we get him.

With the 183rd pick in the 2010 NFL draft, the Denver Broncos select...

Joe Hawley, C, UNLV

This is an attempt at depth in the interior line. I maybe should have drafted a center higher in this mock, but I think we can do alright this season, especially if Seth Olsen is doing well.

Again I will take an UDFA..

Brandon Banks, WR, Kansas State

Alright, don't overreact, saying, "OH MY GOD! FOUR WIDE RECEIVERS???? WHAT ARE YOU DOING??!!?!?", because both Banks and Edwards would hardly be used at the receiver position. Banks would probably be strictly a punt/kick returner, and a very dangerous one.

I have had a lot of fun this draft season. I want to thank all of MHR for putting out many interesting mocks, looking and commenting on mine, and just being a great community overall. I can't wait till next Draftivus!!
