There are some outstanding players on this list. We can measure how many outstanding players there are by looking at individual honors like Pro Bowl appearances, All-Pro Team selections, and Hall of Fame enshrinement. I think you'll like the results.
Pro Bowl
Every year the Pro Bowl takes the best players from each conference and plays them against one another. Between 40 and 50 players are considered Pro Bowl players in a given year from each conference for a grand total of 80-100 players. Here's the eleventh overall picks who have been selected to the Pro Bowl:
Patrick Willis (2007, '08-'09)
Jay Cutler (2008)
DeMarcus Ware (2006-08-'09)
Ben Roethlisberger (2007)
Marcus Trufant (2007)
Dwight Freeney (2003-‘05, '08-'09)
Dan Morgan (2004)
Daunte Culpepper (2000, ‘03, '04)
Tra Thomas (2001, '02, '04)
Leon Searcy (1999)
Donnell Woolford (1993)
Michael Irvin (1991-'95)
Wilber Marshall (1986, '87, '92)
All-Pros
At the conclusion of every season, 50 sports writers and broadcasters who cover the NFL select the All-Pro Team. This is a much more exclusive honor than the Pro Bowl, however; 27 spots existed on the team in 2008. Here are the All-Pro eleventh overall picks.
Patrick Willis (2008)
DeMarcus Ware (2007, '08)
Dwight Freeney (2004, ‘05)
Michael Irvin (1991)
Wilber Marshall (1986, '92)
Hall of Famers
The Hall of Fame is the greatest individual honor an NFL player may receive. It takes into account your entire body of work throughout your career. Of the thousands of NFL players and contributors in the league's rich history, only 247 people are currently in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The only Hall of Fame player who was drafted at number 11 is Dallas Cowboys great Michael Irvin, who was tearfully inducted in 2007.
Biggest Bust
By far, the largest eleventh overall bust was Shawn Knight. He was drafted out of BYU by the New Orleans Saints in 1987 and played one year each for the Saints (10 games), Broncos (14 games), and Phoenix Cardinals (7 games, 1 start), recording exactly one stat - a fumble recovery.

Cool stuff...
A note on the All-Pro selections….did you know that not a single Offensive Lineman from the Broncos 1998 team was selected as an All-Pro? Shows you how much these people actually know about football.

I am surprised you didn’t turn on the front page game countdown clock for the draft.
Victor Frankl:
What man actually needs is not a tensionless state but rather the striving and struggling for some goal worthy of him. What he needs is not the discharge of tension at any cost, but the call of a potential meaning waiting to be fulfilled by him.
Everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of the human freedoms – to choose one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one’s own way.
T-minus hurry the F up!
That’s the only clock going on in my head right now. lol

+1!!!
we could only pray for a talent from that list! Maybe we shouldn’t be quite so excited to trade down unless we’ve really got our guy locked in later.

This day is going way too slow

Wasn’t that the guy we traded Ted Greggory for, another all time bust.

The Year
we got Jay Cutler, Tony Scheffler also came in. Ominous, perhaps? Nevertheless, thanks for the contribution John! Are you going to be on fear the Sword as well today? If so, you’re seriously my hero. Double duty on two prominent SB blogs!

At this rate
pretty soon you’re gonna have an official control room with live satellite feeds from FIFA.
Welcome to the MSM, John Bena. LOL
"All we're trying to do is win the *********** game!" -- Josh MF McDaniels tearing into his offensive line after three false starts in the red zone. The tirade turned the tide of the game, and the Broncos dominated from that point on.

Yes
the Pens are my favorite NHL team. Beat that classy team from Ottawa in five, Penguins! War Sid the Kid and Evgeni Malkin!

Also the year we got Brandon Marshall, Kuper, and Doom
Had things turned out differenly, could of been considered one of the single greatest draft classes in our history.

I doubt it
Too many me-first guys for anything substantial to come from that draft. I really don’t think the Shanny and Cutler would have gotten anywhere together….

agree on that last point
When you think about the personalities involved, it’s not very hard to imagine that if Cutler had continued to throw to the wrong colored jerseys (not hard to imagine), Shanny would have gotten in his face (virtual guarantee), and a trade demand might still have been made.

Pouncey would be nice...
If we trade down, I would love if we picked up Terrance Cody… The run defense last year was horrid
I have a hunch we'll take Tebow at 11 if we can't trade down
And just judging on his attitude towards football – and not religion and all the stuff that draws media attention – I would back the move. I’m wearily getting on the bandwagon after months of internet scouting. I think he might end up the best QB in the draft; the coachability factor is just off the charts with this guy.

I hope not
reaching is one thing… reaching an entire round is raideresque. If we want him trade back even if we don’t get the value on the chart. Any extra picks would be nice

Kind of funny you don't see one center in the whole bunch, but you see names that have been household names.
Rolando McClain can be our Willis this year, a player that can impact our middle for years to come and complement DJ Williams’ play. Much needed prospect here.
Many of the People over at Arrowhead Pride seem to think they'll take him.
If this be Hell, let us make the most of it!
