It seems there are more Tebow supporters here than there were a couple of days ago.
But I can't complain, because I'm one of them. I was one of those not convinced about Tebow at first. What changed?
My interest in Tebow started increasing right when it became clear that Josh McDaniels was interested in him.
I guess to put it simply, I trust the coach. I'm hearing too much about his intelligence and attention to detail to not trust him. If he is high on Tebow, then it means to me that there's more than meets the eye with this quarterback.
The reason this is happening to a lot of us is because - despite the opinions of many others here - not one of Josh's choices has proven to be a bad one. Yet.
Jay Cutler? So far it seems we've gotten good value back from that deal.
Knowshon Moreno? Produced well in his first year.
Robert Ayers? Football minds have been impressed with this kid's performance.
Alphonso Smith? Disappointing in his first year, but it's way too soon to call this a bust. Cornerbacks take time.
Brandon Marshall? We got a clone of him, and then some.
On top of that, McDaniels has had a series of stellar free agent moves that I think have been underappreciated by his detractors.
I think it's still possible that some of McDaniels' choices could later on be proven to be bad choices, and then there might be less trust. But until then, you'll see a lot of people's opinions changing just from falling in line with Coach McDaniels. Most of his detractors are the people that had a problem with him from the beginning and never gave him a shot to begin with.
