Best of luck to McChesney. Terrible ordeal all around.

I hear of more darn golf cart incidents…

Fix the line, Moreno will be fine.

Godspeed Matt

You See? I’ve always said golf is a bloodsport.

Seriously though, sad to see but wish him well.

Did another car hit him?

What happened exactly?

HILLIS...where are you???

by robbo650 on May 19, 2010 9:44 PM MDT reply actions

Yeah, a cart hit him in the leg.

I’m guessing it was one of his friends, could you imagine being that guy?

“Oh hey, sorry I hit you with a golf cart, put you through excruciating pain, and ended your career buddy.”

Fix the line, Moreno will be fine.

Were they screwing around, or what?

Just wondering how that happens.

Sucks out loud- hate to see this happen to anyone, but with Ches being a local guy from Niwot and then CU seems to make it that much worse.

I don’t know all the details, but I would imagine there was some beers being thrown around and a little too much fun being had. That or the guy just lost concentration or something.

I didn’t know he was from Niwot! I remember driving to class from Boulder to the Front Range campus way out there and passing Niwot, and always thinking, “What the heck is that little place about?”

Fix the line, Moreno will be fine.

Yeah I always have a special place in my heart for the locals. Both my kids attend Niwot HS.

Seems pretty likely you’re right about the circumstances. What a damn shame.

Yeah, I would like the know the real story.

However, if alcohol was involved we may never know. To run into someone like that you have to have had several beers or be totally stupid by driving all over the course.

Either way this totally sucks and I would hate to be the guy who ended his career with something like this.

I've got a buddy

whose trying to get me to buy golf clubs and I sent him this story showing how dangerous golf can be ;-)

His first reaction was that they obviously weren’t following proper golf etiquette.

Yeah I’ll hit my father over the head with this “See!! Toldja so!”, lol

Although, for me driving the cart is the only fun thing about the whole experience. ;)

Wishing him the best.

I think that McX was hoping that he might push hard for a roster spot if not a starting job.
