Robert Ayers Held Out of "First Team" Reps Again
Robert Ayers was again held out of first team reps, replaced by Jarvis Moss and Kevin Alexander. Josh McDaniels said of the matter,"I'm not going to talk about it." This development is quite odd considering all the positive press Ayers was getting prior to this particular mini-camp.

This is so strange
I still think he’ll be fine by the time the season starts, but this is odd. Think it could be something he did off the field?
wonder what happened
Wonder what Ayers could have done. He must of been late or missed a meeting or something.

Once he gets his hands on you, there's not much you're going to do. Then you can't outrun him, you can't run around him, you can't really run him over -- so you've just got to deal with it."
Elvis Dumerville, on Ryan Clady
He racks a-disciprine.
Whatever. I won’t judge wither side until (and IF) the whole story comes out.
Uh-oh….. that was a “WAIT AND SEE” answer. I guess I’m a horrible person.

The media reported this like
it was a performance issue. It appears to be a discipline issue of little import. That is odd they might have gotten it wrong. (:
LOL. Nice.

Considering we are team that shouldn't have discipline issues
Everyone seems to be hiding this one under the rug
I am a bear of very little brains and big words bother me.
Here we go....
I hope this is not a Robert “Hillis” Ayers starting. Great early build-up, then a mystery begins to unfold. Beats me !!
I'm not saying, I'm just saying...
I read before the draft last year that he had some entitlement issues. I get the feeling that McDaniels is trying to keep the fire under him going. I believe this will all change when TC comes around and Elvis starts to participate in team drills.

Really
What does it matter whether Moss or Ayers starts. they were both drafted high in the first round and hopefully at least one of them and maybe both of them will be great.
It’s funny how fans lable certain players a certain way bust or whatever.
Three years ago everyone was talking about Moss and then the new bright shinny 1st round name object comes around (Ayers) and everybody is wondering if he is going to be a bust or not.
The idea is to build a team with as many good/great players as you can to win games and hopefully win championships, no matter what their names are, what round they were drafted what year they were drafted.
Who cares, what matters most is whether or not they become good/great players for the broncos. If Moss turns out to be better than Ayers we swap out one “potential bust” for another, and then maybe in 3 years or so, Ayers will replace another 1st round “potential bust”.
Just saying don’t get so caught up in where a player is drafted, how long it may take them to prove themsleves or what name is on the back of the jersey. Just hope we get a full team of great players who get to the playoffs and hope fully win a championship.
moss
It could be as simple as moss being awarded first-team reps due to performance, and then ayers throwing a fit over it and therefore being held out entirely.
Maybe it's what he said earlier
On whether the defense likes hearing Broncos Head Coach Josh McDaniels yelling at the offense
“Oh yeah, we always love that. He’s supposed to be neutral though, if we were messing up, he’d be getting on us too but we like it when he’s on them, it makes our (deal) a lot easier.”
Not a team player to be rooting for your offense to make mistakes and to enjoy hearing McD cuss them out
its friendly competition
between offense and defense. Every team is like that.
