Dunno if any of you are hurting for some new football games, but I just picked up Backbreaker for my 360, and it's pretty good. I've encounter some strange bugs already, but overall, it's a fun game to play. The tackling is so much fun.
Big downside though: No NFL teams. Silver lining: You can customize up to 32 teams and all the players. SO, if you're very patient (or you have one of those download utilities), you can create/import the NFL and players into the game.
Video after the bump.
I've encountered some weird audio bugs (skipping PA announcer voice and music), and the kickoff song is the same everytime. It's cool at first, but you'll be turning the Music Volume down to ZERO after your first game (or during your first game, like I did).
I also had one gameplay bug during a running play, as I played with the New England Ninny-wackers (or whatever they're called). For some reason, after the snap the handoff never happened and I was the RB running around without the ball. The QB (AI-Controlled) still had the ball, but just ran straight back the entire time. Finally, some DL caught him and sacked him for a 75 yard loss. Definitely a WTF moment, but I was laughing. The next play I bombed it out to my star receiver named Ronde Masso (no joke) and scored a TD.
You can DL the demo for free from Xbox Live and PSN to check it out.
Anyways, I picked it up for around $40. Well worth it for the fans of football. Of course, NCAA Football 11 and Madden 11 are around the corner. I just like to support the little guys sometimes (and I used to work at EA Sports!)
