We have yet another reason to be excited about this year!

They seem to be piling up , these reasons  to be excited and looking forward to the coming year.  The latest that I found is this in an interview from DB with one of off season acquisitions.   Linebacker Akin Ayodele who comes from Miami.  His attitude and what he has to say about the coaches should be music to the ears of anyone in Bronco Country.

For those who want to know why Wink Martindale is the new Defensive coordinator, these comments should shed some light.

Part of defining your role as a player is expanding that role. Ayodele said in defense coordinator Don 'Wink' Martindale's system, every player is accountable for learning multiple positions. That increases the depth of the unit and gives each player a better understanding of what the defense is trying to accomplish.

Wherever he plays, Ayodele can take comfort in the trust he has for his new coaching staff, specifically Martindale.

"He really has a good sense of who he wants to bring, how he wants to attack protections," Ayodele said.

And yet again this is for those who still don't get it about McDaniels and his appeal to players. You know, the ones that think he's driving talent out of Denver when the exact opposite is true.

In Head Coach Josh McDaniels he sees an "old-school" coach who commands respect. Ayodele played under two Super Bowl Champion head coaches, Bill Parcells in Dallas and Tom Coughlin in Jacksonville, and he recognizes similar qualities in McDaniels.

"He's a younger guy but trust me, he's well respected," Ayodele said of his coach. "Not only is he talking to the younger guys but also he's talking to the 10- and 15-year vets, so I think there's an understanding and a respect factor there. You love to play for people like that."

We will have a defense that "attacks protections" and where everyone is expected to know what is being accomplished.  Im  increasingly stoked about this season and cannot wait to see how it begins to take shape in TC.
