Why T.O. continues to be a tough sell | National Football Post
Terrell Owens isn’t a high-profile free agent at this point in his career. The fact that he remains without a job in early June and has only seen real interest from the Bengals — prior to the club signing Antonio Bryant — might have T.O. waiting even longer. Perhaps until a team experiences a camp injury, a team’s WR corps isn’t producing in the preseason, etc.
Tebow’s past no longer matters | National Football Post
This is the season of NFL minicamps, and with that comes some expected moves that, while not surprising, do open up the floodgates of speculation. Take the Broncos cutting third-string QB Tom Brandstater as an example. With the move, Tim Tebow moves up to third-string QB. This is by no means a shocker, and anyone that actually didn’t see this move coming or thought it a possibility that the Broncos would carry four QBs on their roster is completely clueless.
The fight for endorsement dollars | National Football Post
Believe it or not, one of the hardest things to do as an agent is to get your player marketing and endorsement deals. If you represent Tom Brady, Peyton Manning or Brett Favre, it might be as easy as fielding the offers that flood in. But what about the other 1700 players? What do they get?

Under the radar
Ahhhh….. the annual showing of NO Bronco love on that ranking list. The Broncos and Lions will be better than this guy thinks they’ll be. I’d rather be underhyped than overhyped AGAIN like the chargers. What is McGeorge’s sig? “Pre-season champs, post season chumps.”
THat list actually says the Broncos need to fix the QB position. Our QB position has the most talented depth in the NFL.

Klis....
Our lockerroom makeup will not allow us to lose to the chargers this year. Tebow can be in or out, but BDawk and Bailey will lead a charge against san diego.

It's just that I'm a teacher, and it's summer.
I expend SO much energy daily during the school year, that when summer hits, I have to stay VERY active, and I have taken the week off, and now my metabolism doesn’t know what’s going on. I’ll fix it by exercising more.

Congrats to you and your fellow contributors. Its nice to see the NYT took notice. The Denver Post should take better notice. You guys do a great job. Horse Tracks is my first place to go for Broncos news (and I always grumble when its not there, like coffee for some people in the morning). Keep up the good work.
from the NYT article
So far, that service has been enough to draw eyeballs. According to comScore, in April, the network drew 3.6 million unique visitors to its 21 most popular sites, the only ones tracked by the market research firm.
MHR makes up 13% of that figure all by its lonesome, about 3x the average. Great work guys!

which gives me an idea...
plot the record of a team for the last 8 games of the season (no playoffs) against their average preseason ranking for the next year and figure out the correlation coefficient….I’d ball-park it at .500 minimum

i see what you are getting at
But to be fair, you would have to benchmark that against the performance of teams in the first 8 games of the folowing season. I bet more often than not, it is a good indicator. The exception is when there is a big chamge (rebuilding) going on, or dramatic player change (ike Elway retiring). Net net, I have total confidence we are going to shock a lot of people this year. It’s coming…
