Broncos To Hold Open Practice At Invesco Field On August 7th
The Denver Broncos will hold a training camp practice on Saturday, Aug. 7, at 6 p.m. at INVESCO Field at Mile High that is free and open to the public.
Fans are encouraged to arrive early to avoid delays entering the stadium as a large crowd is expected. Last year, the 13,402 fans who watched the Broncos' training camp practice at INVESCO Field at Mile High represented the largest practice attendance in franchise history.
"The stadium practice will be a great opportunity for the team and coaches to get re-acclimated with our stadium," Head Coach Josh McDaniels said. "We'll get a chance to run through all of the elements of a live game experience, including sideline communication and the setup of the coaches' booth. It also provides us the opportunity to have an energetic practice in front of our great fans, which always excites the players and the staff in training camp."
Below are some key points regarding the Broncos' INVESCO Field at Mile High practice on Saturday, Aug. 7:
- The practice will run from 6-8 p.m., and gates to the stadium will be open at 5 p.m.
- Admission and parking are free. Parking will be available in all lots adjacent to the stadium.
- Entry to the stadium will be through Gate 4 and Gate 10. The standard stadium bag and prohibited item policy will be in place. Bags must be soft-sided and no larger than 12" x 12" x 12". Non-alcoholic beverages in plastic bottles that are still factory sealed are permitted through stadium gates.
- Seating for the practice is general admission. Fans will be directed to the seating areas of the stadium that will be open.
- The Broncos will practice in full pads, and the session will include several ‘live' periods.
- Media will enter the stadium through the North Tunnel (same as on gamedays). Their training camp credential will grant them access to the facility.
- The press box will be open to the media beginning at 4 p.m. Members of the media are welcome to watch the entire practice from that area.
- Similar to practices at the club's training facility, there will be a 15-minute photography period for media at the start of practice. Following that period, members of the media may watch the remainder of practice in the press box or wait for its conclusion in the photographers' workroom.
- Live shots from within the stadium can only take place during the photography period and must be conducted with limited setup (lighting, equipment, etc.).
- Interviews with members of the Broncos will take place at the end of practice.
- Following practice, former Bronco Floyd Little's induction speech for the Pro Football Hall of Fame's Class of 2010 will be shown to fans on ThunderVision (main scoreboards).

Broncos need some time to develop.Anything over 9 wins this season would be an amazing acomplishment.

That was awesome last year, aside from the idiots that were booing KO...
I was in a good spot in the south stands; got Eddie Royal, Andre Goodman, Kenny McKinley, Renaldo Hill, Dustin Fry, and Tyler Polumbus autographs. I even got a chance to chat with Andre and Renaldo a little bit, especially considering everyone around me was after Eddie Royal’s autograph and because they seemed surprised that I even knew who they were, being new to Denver and all. It was funny giving them a hard time for making the fans boo Kyle Orton after the interceptions they had in that practice. Wish I could go again this year, although unfortunately it will be just a Tim Tebow circus this time around. I’m almost guaranteeing a Tebow chant during that practice from all the bandwagon fans that will surely be in attendance. I hope Orton has a good showing to shut them up.

The Broncos
are in my thoughts and hopes during this practice. However, since it’s August 7, I will be watching the Pro Football Hall of Fame induction ceremony so cheer really WELL for me, everyone. That means, no booing when players make mistakes. At this stage, it will only be August 7 after all….

I like how they'll be showing Little's speech
I hope I can make it again this year, it was pretty fun for the most part last year.

So utterly disappointed...
I have been waiting to hear about this practice for months, and now I find out its on the weekend I’m going to be in Vegas. Seriously, I don’t care that I’ll be in Vegas, this really bums me out. It was so awesome getting to do this last season… I’m crushed.
Just in time
for the day before I leave back to Kansas!!!
I am totally there.

You have to be kidding,
Damnit.
A little rudeness and disrespect can elevate a meaningless interaction to a battle of wills and add drama to an otherwise dull day.
Worth the time?
I live in Montana and my wife has been wanting to take a weekend trip down to Denver to visit a friend but I told her that I would only go along if I could hit a Broncos event. It doesn’t look like I’ll be able to make it to a game but I was wondering if this is a pretty good substitute?
it is always worth going to
i made my R&R one year coming back to the states focused around this its worth it

Well, I don't know if it substitutes for a game
Basically they do some drills, have a few scripted plays and run through some situations (like quick FGs, or kickoff coverage), but not a real scrimmage. It is a decent way to get autographs, though I would suggest getting a seat somewhere near midfield instead of endzones, since most of the players sign near midfield and few make it down to the endzones.

Thanks for the help.
It sounds like a good time and something that my kids would really enjoy. Hopefully I can make the trip down.

I would suggest for those of you planning on attending, you may want to catch the
Denver Outlaws game that will be played earlier (1:00 pm), gives you a change to get good seats and to see some great Lacrosse action.
