What happened to DenverBroncosProShop.com? And my gift certificate!
So last year for my birthday, my mother got me a gift certificate to DenverBroncosProShop.com. (Cool mom, eh?) So I immediately spent the gift certificate on a coupla hats and a sweatshirt. One hat was way too big, as was the sweatshirt. I sent them back and was credited on account. The other hat has been rocked in Tokyo, San Francisco, North Carolina among others...
About a month ago I went to use my credit (was hoping some new season stock had come in) and found that the online store was almost empty. They basically had Champ jerseys, kids clothes and some ugly novelty items. I immediately emailed them to ask if this was a short term stock clearance or were they going out of business and what should I do with my credit. I never heard back...
I went to the site today to try again - and it is completely down, though recently enough to still be in Google's cache. I pulled up the cached version and called the number - disconnected. It appears that they are out of business entirely. My two questions for all of you:
1) What the heck happened to them? Anyone have any info on the demise of what I thought was the best Broncos gear shop online?
2) Do I have any recourse, or did I just lose $65 of credit when they went under? I am guessing I just got the screw job. Sheesh.
Alas I am newly unemployed so this was to be my new gear budget for the season. Now I am going to be stuck wearing my old puffy vest another season... Shucks!
Any thoughts?

yea bud
you just lost your $65.00.
Once a company goes out of business, they are no longer liable for your cash if they claimed Bankruptcy.

I'm sure they did legally
the only ones they have to announce it to is the courts. They don’t have to spend the money to send everyone a post card or spend the money to have someone sit their and call thousands of customers in the same situation as you. They can’t spend the money.
While I feel for you, the true ones hurting are the ones that were working for the company, showed up to work and the doors were closed. These employees whom get paid twice a month or every other friday, just lost 2 weeks worth of pay, and worked for it.
So while it sucks to be you, it sucks to be them, or those employee’s families and children even worse. =(

I would check to see if it works there
I think a new company is hosting the site so thats the reason the old one went down

worth a try
the worst thing they can say is we don’t honor that past companies credits.
You still aren’t out anything you weren’t before.
But who knows – they may honor it anyhow.

that explains why over the last month when i would check their website they would constantly have sales but no new inventory was put out on the website. Last i checked they only had couple jerseys and other gear but i figured they were just trying to restock with all new inventory…guess not
