Former Broncos CB Domonique Foxworth Out For Season
Yes, this is a Denver Broncos site, but Foxy was one of the more popular Broncos during his time in Denver, especially in the aftermath of the Darrent Williams murder, having a big impact in getting the Darrent Williams Teen Center from concept to reality.
With that said, it is saddens me to report Foxworth will miss the entire 2010 season with a reported torn-ACL in his knee. Ravens insider reported the bad news via Twitter minutes ago:
Foxworth will need surgery to repair the damage out for the season
Our best wishes to Foxworth, one of the first Broncos players to do an interview with MHR in our early days, a speedy recovery.

Foxworth was a class act
He should’ve stayed, and Karl Paymah the boot. Best of luck to him

Foxy...
was seen as a threat by Shanny. He is a strong individual, will probably be head of the NFLPA some day, and I think Shanny saw that as a negative. Just another example…

and 100% agreed, even when the Broncos played the Ravens I had a hard time ever rooting against Foxy, perfect example of what it means to be a class act as a player and a human being.
That and Foxy being miffed at the suggestion
by Shanahan that Darrent Williams had something to do with a game winning field goal the next season.
QPU # 2.
The Ravens are going to need a cornerback from the Jets
They’ve got like a hundred it seems like.
23-1. Determination. That which cannont be taught. The reult of finding yourself through adversity.
Yea
And the funny thing to is like 7 DB’s on their team are being paid more than Revis. I don’t think 7 DB’s in the league should get more money than him.
But on Foxy tough to see that. I hate hearing about ACL injuries they usually ruin careers. Here’s to hoping Foxy bounces back in 11!

I don’t see this as a debilitating loss for the Ravens.
He was a great guy and someone worth rooting for. I wish him the best and a full/ speedy recovery. It’s sad to see this happen to such a nice guy. Glad he got paid last year and taken care of with a nice deal.
Also glad that wasn’t Denver’s salary cap money. I don’t miss Foxy as a Bronco since he was a below average nickel on a good day.
Denver: 32-32 until we're not.
Amen
I never understood all the love for Foxworth the player. I never thought he was any good at all.
"For all their valor, cowboys never wear it on their sleeves. They see courage as something to be taken for granted - a quality noticed only in its absence." - James P. Owen.
Different systems
Foxworth was/is a perfectly adequate Tampa-2 type corner who is also able to play safety. In Denver they kept trying to make him a Man-2, or worse yet, a Man-1 corner with weak safety help over the top.
He certainly isn’t Pro-Bowl material, but he was sufficient in Atl and in Balt.

According to Rotoworld
Foxworth was hurt Wednesday afternoon on a non-contact walk through drill.
Good pitching stops good hitting. And vice versa. Casey Stengel
ACL, same injury as the other two corners are just comming back from
Makes you wonder if there’s something to the stretching
23-1. Determination. That which cannont be taught. The reult of finding yourself through adversity.
It isn't stretching
it’s the warmup that is critical. If you get a chance, watch how the Broncos warm up before every practice. They start off with easy movements and gradually increase the range and intensity. They don’t do anything serious until everyone is adequately warmed up.

Absolutely not. KB is a function of aggression and rage, the derivative of which can be traced back to my childhood.-KentuckyBronco

Hopefully he’s at full strength for next year. I miss Foxy….

Happens to some poor guy every year...
But its a shame it had to be Foxy. Here’s to a speedy recovery.
Why hate on your OWN team when you've got the Raiders?
Man, that's too bad
Hang in there, Foxy!

That's a tough break.
I wish Foxy all the best. Heal up, bud.
If Taylor Swift were to try and tackle me, I'd let her.
If someone owned an ICEE truck and wanted to kidnap me, I'd let them.
Best wishes to Foxworth, a classy representative of the NFL
I agree, Larsen shouldn’t get any bigger. I am getting tired of his bone crushing hits knocking the pixels off my TV, once they fall to the floor they are very hard to find.
