Offseason Rewards
Nice piece on denverbroncos.com by Eric Detweiler on Jarvis Moss. Apparently this off-season he really got his head on straight, dedicated himself totally to football, and has been working extremely hard ever since: "Three days into training camp, the 6-foot-7, 257-pound linebacker continues to impress coaches and teammates with his transformation." If he continues to shine it would almost be like we had an another extra pick this year and took a hotshot linebacker.

maybe....
but then doesn’t that also mean its like we wasted a pick the draft we got him in? You can’t call a player we have had comparible to an extra pick this year, because its the same as saying we lost a pick the year we got him….

I don't think so...
He was either a good pick where we got him, or a wasted pick then and an extra pick this year.

I would just call him a pleasent suprise
If this team is expected to go 8-8, then inorder to make the playoffs you have to have some good luck with injuries and pleasent suprises.
If Moss can spell the starters and produce 5 or 6 sacks then that’s 5 or 6 sacks that noone expected when predicting how this team would do.
I think most of us HAVE come around to seeing it as a wasted pick
After three nonproductive years I no longer expected anything from him. If he now becomes a solid player it’s a new development we didn’t expect. He was a total loss the last three years, now he’s (possibly) an unexpected bonus.

What's past is in the past
If Moss is finally showing ability, so much the better. Thanks for the find, Spock.

It's a contract year for him isn't it?
