Whats in the water out there in Denver?
Hurt20?

Curse of LenDale
Everything has gone farther down hill since he got here

At this rate, we won’t have anyone left. My concern at this point is that, even if Jarvis is on track to start, he of all people needs the reps. That, and Kuper was the only sure thing on the OL. Until today. Ugh. Let’s hope that since he walked out on his own, he will be back soon.
Man. Even the optimistic ones must be getting ready to throw in the towel.
I am optimistic...but are you FRICKIN KIDDING ME!!!!!
You, my friend, are proof you dont need to have big floppy feet and a red nose to be a clown!

I think that would be fair in this case
I mean, McD shouldn’t have broken Moss’s hand. That’s pretty obviously the wrong move, right? ;)

terrible
news. I’m a hopeful and optimistic Broncos fan, and I’ll sit and cheer them on through all 16 no matter what, but this season is looking more and more like it’s going to have to be considered a “rebuilding” year.
Its going to look like a rebuilding year
But we all know its not.
Why does Madden suck at ranking the Broncos so much?
Why not?
If we start bad, the pressures going to be on McDaniels to start Tebow. Like it or not, if we’re under 500 after the 1st 8 games, the national media will have a frenzy if we don’t start him.
Who cares what the media thinks?
I know McDaniels doesn’t

We're just trying to get the the MFin playoffs.
Why does Madden suck at ranking the Broncos so much?
Not one of these injuries is devastating...
These players should all be back in short time. However, with all the dings the Broncos are taking you have to wonder about their conditioning program. I know you can’t prevent everything, but wow it seems like everyday there is a new injury to someone………..
"I cannot give you a formula for success, but I can give you the formula for failure: Try to please everybody."
A few years ago, I mentioned the same concern...
We were getting hit by injuries like crazy ~06-09… I questioned whether or not the conditional program and coaches needed to be evaluated.
Do we still have the same guys? Tuten and Greek and co?
Yes Tuten and Greek are still there
"I cannot give you a formula for success, but I can give you the formula for failure: Try to please everybody."
Re: conditioning program
The Broncos have it pretty good there; Shanny actually be getting some of the blame for the old injury problems, because he didn’t let Tuten do his thing, and training camp was more like a picnic.

Just brutal!
This is just getting silly and I haven’t even had a drink today! You bring up a great question…not only for the Broncos, but league wide. Is it possible that the year round conditioning program actually hurts and weakens the players making them more susceptible to injuries? Maybe teams should focus on maintaining basic cardio and light strength. I really don’t know the extent of the conditioning programs, but it seems to me that this isn’t all just coincidence. Of course…broken bones have nothing to do with conditioning, but some of these other injuries might come from over training? I don’t know…just crazy stuff.
"They are who we thought they were!"
These things happen
sometimes more sometimes less. I think it is jumping to conclusions trying to blame conditioning coaches, otas, or anybody else. It was only a year ago we were trashing Shannahan’s coaching style and praising McD’s new approach and attention to detail when it comes to conditioning and physical practices. It is very early in camp and there is a lot of time to heal up and maybe get some of our depth guys some needed reps. Its all about HOW you deal with the adversity right?
precisely!
It’s camp. Crap happens. Remember how the Patriots went through a long spate of injuries and kept winning championships? Isn’t it nice that we’re now being built the same way they were?

I’m sorry for this guys but…FUCK!!!!
I’m so over this injuries in week freaking 1 of TC.

I am coming to the opinion that NFL teams (Broncos included) have way too many OTA
I think these guys are training way too much and it is leading to more injuries overall. The body can only take so many hits before it starts to break down.

So is the Players Association
I think this is one of the PA’s demands … to have less “voluntary-that-is-actually-involuntary” OTA’s and workouts in the “offseason”. Let the players’ bodies heal…
I am of the same opinion… hopefully they’ll agree upon something and address it in the new CBA.
Information is being dispensed like no other time. We need to realize players have been getting banged up in Training Camp forever. I don’t care how “soft” TC was with Shanahan, players get banged up.
Let’s settle down. Moss can play with a cast and yes, we still have very abled bodies to fill the holes in the meantime.

you're right
The problem is we’re talking about a guy with minimal playing time through his first 3 years. If it was Dawkins I wouldnt be the least bit worried. With Moss the more practice the better.

IF anything he can get the mental reps in.
I was hoping he stepped up and played well this year. Even more so after Doom went down. The guy can fly to the QB.

We can't afford for...
Kuper to be banged up again this year. With Harris coming off injury, Clady’s injury and no one really knowing when he’ll be good to go, and the other guard position and center spot being filled by 1st year players, our o-line could really, really be in trouble. That spells disaster no matter how you want to spin it.
Kuper is the one that really bothers me
I know oss was looking good this year, but if we don’t get some semblance of stability on the O line, I have a bad feeling that Orton will end up having an abbreviated season.

Well this sucks, however it will be a test to the coaches and the last players standing to see how we respond. And maybe jusy maybe all our injuries will be done in TC with time to heal.
If not we will have to get the replacement players waiting in line for next year if there is no new Collective Barganing agreement ready this year.

Make it Rain!
My heart is Black and it makes Rocky Mountain purple blood and I piss the Orange and Blue Denver Bronco excellence.
Listening to Sirius NFL Radio from camp right now...
the players seem really upbeat at least. I’ve heard interviews with B Lloyd, D Graham, Haggen and Ryan Harris. All of them have mentioned how well and how physical Ayres is playing. From listening to these interviews, it doesn’t sound like the Kuper injury isn’t too serious. Not sure what happened, but Jim Millar said that D Graham went after Mario Haggen when Kup went down. They were laughing about it. Based on these interviews, this team sounds real close. All of it has been real positive. The sky is not falling in dove valley.
Anyone at work right now should sign up for a free trial of sirius and check this out. McD, Orton, Ayers, D Thomas, Jamal Williams, John Lynch, Champ Baily, Tebow and more interviews to come in the next hour.
Won't bow. Don't know how.
Thanks for the good news, BB!!

His response was “Pain”

Wow, when it rains it pours. This is really not giving me much optimism.
If anything, it will show us fans what this team is made of and if anybody on 2nd/3rd string deserves to be here. My main concern is that if this team is struggling with injuries already then what will happen down the stretch? Will we fold and wear out like we have in so many seasons past or what?
And this is another reason why I am opposed to the 18 game season. I know players get hurt and it is just dumb luck but exposing them to higher risks of injury by adding 2 more games is unnecessary. Practice is important. Limiting OTA’s but increasing games is not the way to go. The OTA’s and camps are important for learning the playbook and developing chemistry and communication. They are sorely needed. Players come and go every year and so do coaches. They schemes and systems change. We need the time in the offseason to learn this and get the player’s bodies in shape for the grind of the season. If there were less practices before the season there would probably be more injuries because the players’ bodies wouldn’t be adjusted and in proper shape.
I am starting to also wonder if we shouldn’t look at the option of replacing Rich Tuten as strength and conditioning coach. I like the guy but even under Shanny it seemed we always wore down at the end of the season. I wonder if his workouts may have something to do with it. (just speculating/ not fact behind this).
Replacing Tuten?
Well we now have to didn’t you hear? He just went down with an injury :-)

For crying out loud......really?
At this point I just have to shake my head and move on. I am numb to all this right now. I cringe now when I get a text message fearing it will be from CBS4 saying someone else got hurt.
So the question is not who will make the team, but who isn’t hurt will be playing.

OK.... I've figured out what this is.
McDaniels is having the guys fake injuries in the early part of the season so we can get through that 4-game stretch including INDY with some surprise starters for those teams to grapple with. Polumbus just gave Doom a purple nurple. Bucky skinned his knee, and someone slapped Moreno’s butt to hard after a good play. Shut up, those of you who were there and saw it happen. What I say is truth!
