Speaking at his weekly Wednesday press conference, Patriots Head Coach Bill Belichick was asked about the decision to trade former 1st Round pick Laurence Maroney. In typical Belichick-style, he used few words to explain the move:
I drafted him, brought him in, he worked hard, was productive... it was just time to move on. It was a trade off. We got something in return. I'm sure he'll help Denver, that's why they traded for him.
Belichick also described his last conversation with Maroney as "positive. We'll leave it at that."
Later today we'll get Josh McDaniels thoughts on the trade when he meets with the media.
