Check Jenna’s comment from the other thread….

Or… below… Or

Do We have to waive a guy, and he goes through the normal process, or can We just cut him, then he can sign with whoever? For instance, Cassius Vaughn?

So can someone answer something from the last thread ?

Can you waive these players or do you have to cut them and they are all free to sign wherever ?

by Jenna Talia on Sep 2, 2010 8:30 PM MDT reply actions

Basically the same

You cut/waive them, and they go to the waver wire. If no one picks them up, they are free to sign with anyone’s PS that they want, I think.

by BroncosBassist on Sep 2, 2010 8:31 PM MDT up reply actions

Depends...

If they are waived, they are on the waiver wire, available to be claimed by other teams in a certain order. If they are cut, they can sign with anyone they want.

You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say will be misquoted and then used against you.

by KaptainKirk on Sep 2, 2010 8:36 PM MDT up reply actions

Players with lesws than 4 accrued seasons have to go through the waiver process

Players with more experience are immediately Free Agents.
So, some team can put in a claim for those players with less experience and the veterans can go to whatever team they want.

by KaptainKirk on Sep 2, 2010 8:34 PM MDT up reply actions

well someone will want one of our DBs ? tradewise I mean, potentially ?

because Detroit is weak in their secondary and would claim whoever we cut yes ?

by Jenna Talia on Sep 2, 2010 8:36 PM MDT up reply actions

Unless there was another team that wants to jump Detroit

that team would trade if they wanted a player bad enough.

if Orton gets injured who are you more comfortable with at the #2. I like Tebow over Quinn. Quinn should look good against a bunch of players that are not going to make the team

by gnarlybroncodude on Sep 2, 2010 8:44 PM MDT up reply actions

Doesn't matter

McD even said so. Because of Tebow being used on different formations possibly, he may just sit at the bottom, similar to Vick and Kolb in Philly.

he’s gonna make McD’s job harder this next week in picking out the #2 QB. I don’t hate that problem.

I don’t see McD letting his ego overriding his common sense. If Phonz doesn’t deserve to be on the team, he shouldn’t be here. There are other DB’s on the roster that are outplaying him NOW, with less experience at that. I don’t think Phonz is safe. He may stay on the team, but he’s not safe.

He'll make it

Everyone Loves

Vaughn, even more than Ray Romano. I wish there were some way we could keep him.

I hate to pile on , but . . .

“Rier, hey. We really appreciate you coming in. We’ve had a great time getting to know you and if you make it through waivers, we plan to sign you to the practice squad.”

I think we need that dead horse picture again.

well, certainly some positives.

good to see quinn developing, and tebow showing resilience.

first team O had good synchronicity and moved the ball well.

and best of all, the regular season starts in 9 days.

Go BRONCOS!!!

Southeast CT...

So, really just getting my Tropical Storm on…

Used to live in Suffolk, VA. Rode out Isabel down there.

Have fun. Batten down the hatches.

And……Go Broncos.

Ya, Isabelle was crazy

2 1/2 weeks with no power! That was pretty wild.

I wouldn't know...

We lived by the hospital so our power was back in about 12 hours. Bad, I know.

Ultimately

I can’t be angry with how everything went down. The Broncos met some adversity and hit the Vikings in the mouth a few times. Our 45 will beat the opponents’ 45 more of then than not in 2010.!

There were a number of great games in week 4

Giants/Pats, and Cowboys/Miami were some other favorites.

Phonz is one unlucky guy......

I think he’s a very good CB, but he gets a lot of bad breaks. Seems like he’s too familiar with the Refs, and they watch him like a hawk. Aside from the slip ‘n’ fall, he had a great game.

Another note

Brandstater played very well tonight for the Colts.

He’s a Colt right? Peerman played good for the Bengals too.
