The Broncos Make Me Proud

When I turned on my Tivoed broadcast of the Broncos-Seahawks game (brought to us in Utah by KSTU, THANKS FOX 13!), throughout the majority of the telecast, I couldn't help but smile ear-to-ear.

For starters, Kyle Orton was magnificent and as I stated last week on one of the Jags' game threads, I have not been this confident in a Broncos signal-caller since the Duke himself laced them up.

Furthermore, the illustrious impetus of my avatar, Eddie Royal, did numerous things well and I am so happy to see him integrated into the offense, as I am for Demaryius Thomas.

Thomas is awesome anyplace on the field he gets the ball and while he may be bereft of Brandon Marshall's "star power," thus saith the irrefutable MSM (note the heavy sarcasm), much like the letter "C" and Cookie Monster, that's good enough for me!

I have to give a shoutout to my man Cassius Vaughn as well! I was so happy when I found out he'd made the team and his inclusion into the orange and blue shows just how smart McDaniels is.

Vaughn was able to strip vaunted Walter Thurmond III near the Seattle goal line and the rest was history for my dear friends at Field Gulls and their blue and green Hawks.

Knowshon Moreno's huge play in the 3rd Quarter blew the game open irrevocably, so I give him a gameball in addition to Vaughn.

Now, there are some things that need to be tightened up.

I know that Golden Tate is a great player (especially when Pete Carroll promises him donuts after the game), but he made two big plays too many.

The kickoff and punt coverage teams still need some work, but again things can be improved and are much better than last week (see my gushing over Cassius Vaughn), and I wasn't too happy with Knowshon Moreno's fumble which fortuitously went out of bounds.

Nevertheless, we can beat anyone in the NFL when we're at our best so let's humble the Colts.

Thanks, as always, for reading!
