Pitt cut Hartwig
I know the roster is set, but I find it pretty interesting that Pitt's starting center last year Justin Hartwig was just chopped. I wonder if he would fit at guard and whether it would be worth picking him up for better OL depth than we currently have. He definitely has a mean streak and is a big bruiser inside. I would like him as depth much better than Daniels or Batiste. What does everyone else think?

I'm not as worried about our depth inside as I am about our depth at OT
We’d be better off looking for an upgrade over Batiste.
We could sign Hartwig and put him at LG.
Then move Beadles to back-up Tackle. Then cut Batiste. Or cut Eric Olsen and sigh Eric Olsen to the PS.
Batiste is young w/upside....
I like him and Daniels on our Oline. But really like to add Hartwig as a mentor for JD as well as terrific depth! I feel the same about Damione Lewis (New England) Tank Tyler (Carolina) or Derek Lokey (KC) All could really add great depth to our Dline compared to lekevin smith & Marcus Thomas and Ryan McBean?

we did go for depth
I just read we signed one of Minn’s OTs, so that takes care of that.
