Tim Tebow Documentary Trailer -- MUST SEE
Whether you like the pick or not really doesn't matter now. Tim Tebow is a Denver Broncos quarterback and whether he plays Sunday for 1 play, 10 plays, or no plays, he is certainly going to be a story - and he's not going away anytime soon.
This video is on his website, and is the trailer for an upcoming documentary on his preparation for the NFL Draft.

I Love...
the moment when he asks if he should answer the (303) call and his agent’s voice raises 6 octaves saying “yes, yes, it’s them!!”

Happy to have a QB happy to be a Bronco. or 3 of them for that matter
unlike a certain other traded one that shall not be named
His agent obviously does think he would be a good fit here.
Send this film to theaters because it's going to take down Avatar!
Seriously though, this looks like a great documentary and the production company that put it together (Fiction) is solid. This should be a good one!
Comparing Michael Lombardi to Bill Williamson is like comparing an In-N-Out Cheeseburger to a sh## sandwich.
Williamson would probably eat both – no questions asked.

Listen, I’m Tebow fan, but I’m Broncos fan first and he’s not done anything for the Broncos yet. If you were talking Terrell Davis, I’d agree. But Tebow… wait a few years. I hope he gives us reasons to remember then.

Yuk!
Shameless self promotion by a guy that hasn’t done squat in the NFL except take a needless shot in the ribs running for a worthless touchdown. I hope he does great. But until he does, the guy needs to stay down and let others do the talking for him, not this kind of junk.

+1 Billion Million
If Tebow never does anything at the Pro level, it won’t be for a lack of heart or effort. This is a man who pours everything he is into everything he does. Regardless of his success at the college level and in this league, his ability to inspire and encourage will always trump his accolades.
There is absolutely nothing to dislike about this guy.

Agreed Dav....I am even more stoked now. He is pissed about the lack of faith from others, and SO loyal to Denver for drafting him. He will be our FRANCHISE and will shove it the collective behinds of all that doubted him.
Until then, we have another warrior in Kyle Orton to lead this team. This is the dawning of new era for Denver Broncos and its fan. Lap it up guys!
You, my friend, are proof you dont need to have big floppy feet and a red nose to be a clown!

Kyle Orton!
Truth be known, I’m way more stoked about Orton in the present time than I am about Tebow down the road. While Tebow has a ton of potential for the future, Orton is proving his worth now. I’m pleasantly surprised by his maturation in this offensive scheme. I certainly hope he continues to improve and makes the decision to let him go a tough one.

Except proselytizing perhaps...
…keep it to yourselves, kids.
We should teach Moreno the Mississippi Mud Walk.
My honest opinion... this has proven to be a non-issue.
He’s kept it to himself.
The whole “shove the Bible down your throat” argument against Tebow doesn’t wash with me. It’s just not something he does. He lives his faith and doesn’t push it onto anyone. I say Good for him!
In fact, apart from the scripture references on his eyeblack in college and his habit of saying “God bless” at the end of each conversation, one would be hard pressed to notice his faith if it weren’t for the media shoving it down everyone’s throat every time he turns around.
If he were going door to door in the neighborhood, spreading the Gospel, then I could see where one might be able to start calling it proselytizing, but, surprise, he’s just an NFL Rookie Quarterback who just happens to be a Christian. Not a big news item, if you ask me. This issue needs to be put to bed once and for all.
In my view, there are worse things in the world than having to listen to Tim Tebow say “God Bless” one more time.

Totally agreed
I think it’s purely over-exposure.
Do American’s use the term “tall poppy syndrome”? You cheers someone on their way up but once they’re up there you knock ’em back down to size again.
That’s Tebow for some people. Not gonna change. Tebow’s no more religious that a lot of football players. The profile’s just a little bigger, as is the target on his back.
"Space is big. You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mind- bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it's a long way down the road to the chemist's, but that's just peanuts to space."

Not really
Players like Kurt Warner and Steve Young had the same positive attitude, others have had the same work ethic. The only difference with Tebow is the hype.

This is close to the reality, whether you like him or not.
Those who feel the proselyting needs to be kept quiet don’t understand Tebow, and some seem to have misunderstood our country’s constitutional law. He views his fame as only a means to bring his message. He does it mostly by example, and doesn’t seem to be a “You’ll burn in hell” type…no stepping on other people here. From an ethical and legal viewoint, he has every right speak about his faith without interference and by my ethics without my judging him.. Separation of church and state does not apply in this situation…..his right to free speech and freedom of religion are the applicable constitutional principles here.
There was a phrase that became poplular when I was younger……a bit flippant and in-your-face for my tastes, but it applies here. Tebow is who he is, “get over it”.

by charlesnelsonreilly on Sep 8, 2010 7:23 PM MDT up reply actions
True, but look at the comments.
Also look at his own statements…this is the crux of the Tebow personality, and much of his polarizing character.
People typically don't film their own documentaries.
Why does Madden suck at ranking the Broncos so much?
exactly
its not like he arranged for this too happen. Fiction probally came up with the idea
WTF GEREN?!?!?!
For people who know anything about Tebow
know that he is probably the last person to self promote himself. He is a polarizing figure and people what others to know his story.
I for one can’t wait to see this. I wonder when it comes out.
Best line was that one guy saying: “You know how many guys he will be drafting, NONE.”
Floyd Little: HOF Class of 2010.
2009-10 back-to-back NBA Champions L.A Lakers
2009-10 NBA Finals MVP Kobe Bryant
lol
Loved that too. And agree that the media circus doesn’t really seem to affect Tebow’s attitude or grattitude. He’s psyched to be a Bronco, fervently wants to prove McD right for taking a chance on him early, and seems very genuine. The only thing that even remotely bothers me about the whole spiritual angle is what others are making of it, for or against. It has nothing to do with anything I’ve heard or seen out of him.
Of course, my philosophy personally has always been that actions matter way more than words, whatever your beliefs. How do you treat other human beings? How do you handle yourself as a human being? Again, I haven’t seen anything out of 15 that makes me remotely worried about that. It’s the hype I find annoying.
I dig that some people appreciate him for his genuine character. I dig that some people can’t christen him the franchise savior until he gets us a W in the regular season, much less a Lombardi. But the echo chamber is out of control, and I’m doing the best I can to ignore it.
In that context, I’m a bit wary of this documentary. The truth is, even an independently produced documentary like this one often involves a great deal of participation from its subject. Even if the producers maintain an ethical distance, they are still clearly passionate about the man or they wouldn’t be making the film.
But even knowing that there is bias inherent to the filmmaking process — that from the moment you set up your first shot, you are influencing the message — I can’t deny there are some interesting moments in this trailer. And its not like the NFL doesn’t slant their own coverage or filmmaking to dramatize their product and players.
As a Bronco fan, I’m fine with it and want to see it.

Just Smile!
He is a good kid, with a hell of a lot of potential, and he is on your team. Maybe he hasn’t proven anything yet in the NFL, but he has certainly done enough for us to at least give him the benefit of the doubt that he will do whatever it takes to help the Broncos win. Worst case scenario, we have a 1st round draft pick that didn’t pan out. But regardless of what he does, he has brought a lot of positive attention to the Broncos, which is a good thing! Better than DUI’s, Domestic Violence, rape allegations and all the other crap that players in the NFL are dealing with.
If the worst thing you can say about him is that he is kind of preachy and other people really really like him, then let’s talk and we can figure some other stuff out to be way mad about.

Lol, just kidding man. I feel you. I didn’t exactly react that way (I was kind of in awe) but I see where you’re comming from. I was nervous about wether or not he could develope into a great QB in the NFL, but then I stopped listening to ESPN anylists and started listening to myself and what I believed, which is a very Tim Tebowish thing to do. He’s just too dedicated, talented, smart, etc. to be a bust. I think he’s gonna be a top 10 QB, maybe top 5 in the league, and the more I see of him, the more my man-cruch grows.

the finger writes on, my friend... only the passing of time will give us perspective on this.
I like Mastermind’s statement above that the reactions often say more about the observer than about Tebow…and that goes for both sides of the views. Overall in my experience, it is mostly on this site that Tebow is getting more positive comments than incredibly negative ones. As a measure of the tolerance of our culture, browsing through comments posted after articles on Tebow that are published on sites that are not Florida or Denver oriented can be rather depressing. It appears that the judgment is now coming more from non-religiously oriented peole that from Tebow (the religiously oriented one in this dichotomy); this is a bit of an ironic twist on the usual pattern through US history. I have posted before that I understand where this blowback against religion is coming from, and that it is not totally undeserved. However, two wrongs don’t make a right. More importantly for us as individuals and collectively as a culture, acting with intolerance in one situation just makes it easier to do in another situation.

Said the same thing in an interview. He was positive that Superman, I mean Tebow, would revolutionize the game in some capacity. Ballers like Timmy come around once a millennium.
the documentary is fine by me. Give what the audience wants and it wants all things Tebow.
As far as the documentary being anything special, yes it will be. As it could be for most every player who tries to become an NFL player/star. These stories capture the dedication and unparalleled physical push to become one. We just happen to have the most marketable one in the NFL at this time. Very cool.

His college record alone
Warrants a documentary. This guy doesn’t have to do anything in the NFL. He is already established as one of the greatest college QB’s in history and that makes him interesting on its own.
I love the idea behind this documentary. If nothing else he’s just showing the amount of work and effort he is putting into conditioning himself for the NFL and more than anything it will win people over. I cannot wait to see it.
I thought it was so amazing to see Tebow asserting himself saying he doesn’t want to be considered anything other than a QB and he will do whatever it takes to be a QB in the NFL and anybody who thinks anything else about him shouldn’t even bother interviewing him. Awesome.

The documentary seems to be about his preparation for the draft
Same thing was done last year for three middle of the draft players as well
gotta love the dude....
the “people” can say what they want but I would rather draft a kid like this than a kid like Dez Bryant or any other of the 1 round flops that tank becasuse of character issue.
I hated him at florida, from the outside the media made him self rightous and “holy” . More than happy he is a bronco.
Just because
the guy is righteous doesn’t make him self righteous. Anything Tebow has ever done in his life, he’s credited it to God or other teachers in his life. Dawk is the same way. I think it’s awesome seeing Christians and Muslims (Dan Graham, Ryan Harris) thriving on the same team. Our team is something special in the making.
For clarity, I think BRASO was talking about the media's portrayal of him.
Your points are well taken, PaleHorse…..there does seem to be something special about the interactions on the team.
He does has some obvious charisma that goes along with his demonstrated college success and physical gifts
You really get the impression that he’s a guy who can raise the performance of others around him, There is something to be said for that. You get the honest feeling that even if he’s not the starting quarterback, he would want Orton to succeed and do everything he could to help in preparation or special plays or just help looking at film or putting pictures on the clipboard or something. To have a attitude that if you do your honest best and be a bit selfless then things will turn out better for you and your teammates is a refreshing attitude to see.
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good Lord, was that Tebow curling an SUV? You weren’t kidding John when you said this was must see.
Gosh
I wonder who XV Enterprises is? Could it be that the Tebow clan had something to do with this “documentary”? Pure self promotion. Not that there’s anything wrong with that.
Makes me proud that he's a Bronco
not a religious person at all, but if you can’t admire Tim Tebow, his passion, work ethic, and drive to be great at what he does, you need to reevaluate.
The thing I've noticed about Tebow haters in general
is that they don’t hate him necessarily because of his faith of choice, but they hate his dedication to it. It seems phony to people because anymore, anyone can be bought and paid to believe anything. One thing about Tebow that I can almost guaran-damn-tee, is that he is genuine in his faith and dedication to everything. From God to football to family, Tebow is one dedicated human being.
You better be glad he’s on your side on Sundays, because when it comes to be his time to take over our team, you know, whether you like it or not, that Tim Tebow will give 100% every play, every day.
The haters seem to all say the same things about him: that he’s a bust, an overpaid loser, and that he won’t amount to anything. What’s funny to me though, is that almost all of these same naysayers refuse to bet against him. They THINK against him and talk trash about him, but they won’t bet against him. That’s humorous and proves the theory that while they might believe he’s a bust, they aren’t willing to put their money where their mouth is.
Sorry for the rant everyone, but if you found yourself believing in ANYTHING as much as he believes in his faith and football, and if you’re willing to go all the way with your faiths, then maybe you and Tebow aren’t so different after all.

Tebow. Play some NFL ball and win some damn games before you make a damn documentary about being the greatest college football player of all time.
Denver: 32-32 until we're not.
It's actually quite the opposite McG
I didn’t see any highlight reel footage. Seemed like the focus was more on the challenge of getting to the NFL and the work required to do so. Of course it could be like a lot of movies, all of the good stuff is in the trailer and the rest of the flick is boring.
"as in football so in life"
i see your point.
But many have called him the greatest college player of all time. And that is history, and that CAN be backed up. Making a doc about being the greatest NFL QB of all time would be way premature. I don’t think he needs to prove anything in the NFL to have a claim to college fame.
I agree… i don’t care for this type of hype before his career even gets started. I think it’s exciting, though.

and I’m beginning to think some of you guys stole the Joker’s line from the Batman film:
Tebow Polorizes? Wait’ll they get a load of me!
I mean, is this REALLY that big of an issue? really?
Move along… nothing more to see here.

Lest we devolve to more name-calling...
I think this clip, and all the Tebowmania videos are exciting. I do think that they are a bit premature, but I get the sense, as many others do, that Tebow has something special – intanglible. I can easily imagine him leading us to many championships in starlit fashion.
I do wish this kind of stuff would come out AFTER he does great things, not before. If he fails, this will all look pretty silly. But he’s an enigmatic figure, if nothing else. He’s played well thus far. Let me qualify: He’s made mistakes, but his play has demonstrated an abundance of heart and determination, and he IS dedicated and loyal to the Broncos, which is great.
I don’t care for the hype, but it serves well to keep the spotlight off Orton for now, and we live in a capitalist society. Tebow, like it or not, sells, as evidenced by his jersey sales. What’s wrong with a documentary director trying to cash in? Who knows who produced this. Even if it was Tebow or his family, it only helps the NFL and the Broncos in terms of PR and marketing.
Why hate things that excite others? Bradley, you remind me of critics who blasted Star Wars or Titanic. Those were epically well-loved movies for a basic reason: they were good stories. People like to hope. They like to be inspired. Why not allow them that joy? I don’t understand people who become antagonistic of harmless mass euphoria over a person or movie, etc. I’m sure those people can find more productive things to do. If Tebow flops, he flops. A lot of people will be disappointed. But some people will have had this time of hope to give them something to look forward to. If Tebow does flop, the same people will find something new to believe in. And no amount of bitching will stop people from being excited for the future. I don’t envy those with nothing to look forward to except failure and being right.

The hate doesn't suprise me.
When someone is as popular ans successful as Tim Tebow people are going to naturally be jealous. People live to see celebrities fail, and they try their best to find a way to tear them down. If you are looking for someone to hate, there are much worse people out there then Tim Tebow.
I think it’s perfectly reasonable that someone would make a documentary about Tebow. It’s a tremendous opportunity to capture the life of one of the biggest stars to enter the NFL maybe of all time. That’s a documentary film maker’s dream.

This preview clip was AWESOME, thanks for posting MHR! Can't wait to see it.
As a BRONCOS FAN and a Tebow fan, I am very thankful that he is on our team.

Some posts on this thread sound familiar.
Then, the people, persuaded by the elders, began to shout, “Release to us Barabbas!” [TO, BMarsh, Cutler, Ocho, Ray Lewis, etc]
But they shouted all the more [about a man who did no wrong other than to bring hope and love to the world], “Crucify Him! Let Him be crucified!”
Not that Tebow is Christ, but of ALL the people you know, who has lived more in Christ’s image?
Want goosebumps? Want to know why Tebow is so beloved at UF? Want to see another legacy (of Denver) in the making?
Watch this; better yet, IMAGINE Tebow’s future and highlights as a Bronco…

And at the end, insert “City of Denver” where “University of Florida” is mentioned. Tim Tebow is the real deal.
“What are you going to leave behind?
Something [uh] that people can look back and say is that this kid gave his heart to us, he gave his heart to [insert: City of Denver], he gave his heart to the fans…[uh] and every time he stepped on this field, he gave everything he possibly had. Not that he won every game, not that he was the best player, [uhm] not that he won the most games, or the most championships, but that he cared, and he loved us, and he left everything on this field.”
