Woody is throwing fire on McD and Nolan today. Funny stuff.
If Fox made $6MM last year, not sure how the Broncos think they’ll get him for $3MM. Guess we’ll have another 1st time coach in 2011.
Tim Tebow > Kyle Orton
I did think his fire he threw on McD and Nolan was some funny stuff
I’m really thinking Dennison is going to get this job, and I hope he finds a way to get Gibbs involved, at least during TC like he mentioned.
We need to start a Facebook campaign and petition
to rename the stadium back to Mile High.

I love the idea.
I remember reading a report in the DP when the stadium naming rights were sold that figured that over ten years, selling the stadium name saved every citizen in CO $10 on their taxes. I would have gladly paid the $10, and thrown in the extra for ten people who wouldn’t have.
The bad thing about doing nothing is that when you get tired, you can't stop and rest.
They can't rename the stadium until Investco's rights run out in 2021.
This chart on ESPN.com SportsBusiness lists every stadium, who owns the naming rights, how much they pay, and when the rights expire. Investco’s pays $6 millions/year, so it would take at least $60 million to buy them out. If they were interested in selling.

I thought it was interesting.
Maybe Invesco tanks
And can’t afford to pay it any more…. Then they have an auction and New Belgium brewery wins naming rights…. And decides just to call it “Mile High” again. And instead of stanky ol’ beer, Fat Tire becomes the beer of the Broncos… The Broncos, then come out of the gates next season and stun the world, going undefeated and winning the SB… Then win two more in a row, to live up to my sig’s prediction…. Then… yeah.. ::Sigh::

Far from it
They’re global… I just googled to be sure, and they don’t seem anywhere near going out of business. : (
So it’s up to Us, Broncos fans, to demolish their good standing (ha ha) or at least cause them to sell the naming rights contract to a company that’s… well, that has something to do with football.

Hmmm, that was my thought too
I could have sworn they went belly up, but I guess that’s just the local branch or they emerged from bankruptcy or something?

Convince the world
to sell any Invesco stock owned…. And not to ever buy any more? First, we need someone everyone hates, to represent them, or at least say he/she loves anything and everything having to do with Invesco….
Step 2, the same thing we do every night Pinky….

Great idea
People could, theoretically, quietly buy up their stock, then publicly short it. ; )
Wait, would I get in trouble with the SEC for suggesting that? Eff it. Not like anyone credible calls it Invesco anymore, anyway.

Thanks for the Horse Tracks John!!!
I wonder how long the ‘transparency’ lasts. I could get used to it, that’s for sure.
Hope Dennison… I mean, whoever the new HC becomes believes in and digs the open-ness, and it continues to be the model for the rest of the teams still stuck in the “Don’t let anybody know” phase…. I mean, I can understand keeping schemes, weaknesses and strengths under wraps, but really that’s it….

Thanks for the tracks...
In Woody’s Mailbag, somebody brought up the terrible Invesco Field at Mile High name. Pepsi already has the Pepsi center, why don’t they buy out the rights from Invesco and rename it Orange Crush Field at Mile High Stadium? That would be awesome…

Interesting notion
Or just leave ‘field’ out of it… “Orange Crush at Mile High” Either one would be a billion times better than what it currently is.

Poor, poor Woody!
He’s the only one left anywhere who wants the Mile High name back…
He also would have drafted three of Raji, Freeman, Harvin, Matthews and Laurinatis despite the fact that Raji was already off the board by our first pick and the other four were gone before our third pick, which was already a trade-up. Even with 20/20 hindsight you can’t make that work.
