I'm not saying I'm anti-Fox but I wanted to do some number crunching on the Panthers and his yearly rankings are nearly identical to Shanahans. Good year, bad year. So I ask you, please sell me again on why Fox is a good choice.
One note on my stats, these are rankings. So if the Panthers were 26th in points allowed, that means that 25 out of 32 teams did a better job and 5 actually did worse. I tossed in the Broncos stats for comparison.
Finally, I wish I had accurate total payrolls for each year. The info I found seemed incorrect. I was under the assumption that the Panthers spent very little, the Broncos spent a lot and so I tossed that info out. If anyone has a reliable link to find that stuff, please list it.
