Denver gets Big Mock Draft!!!

I think that The Denver Broncos team is looking better and better with the hiring of Defensive Coordinator Dennis Allen.  I think Denver has great coaches at almost every position.  I hope that John Fox still allows Kyle Orton to still be aggressive in the passing game(I wonder if any watched Mike & Mike on monday morning where they said that Kyle Orton is a perfect QB for John Fox).

If you look at both The Pittsburgh Steelers and The Green Bay Packers one stat stood out.  Pittsburgh #1 in the NFL is Sacks.  Green Bay #2 team in the NFL in Sacks.  Denver had alot better record with Elvis Dumervil and his 17 Sacks on the team.  John Fox loves putting pressure on QB's and is going to bring a aggressive Defense to the team.

More after the jump!!!

2011 Free Agents

1.        Champ Bailey - Denver gives Champ his 4 year deal for $41 million.

2.        Chad Greenway - 6'2" 242lbs LB - will give Denver a great young LB.

3.        Carl Nicks - Guard - 6'5" 323lbs - Denver adds this big Guard to play next to Clady and slide Zane Beadles to Right Tackle.

4.        Michael Bush - 6'1" 245lbs - Bush ran for 655 yards and 8 TD's.  He will replace Buckhalter on the team and give Denver a Big RB.

5.       Roman Harper - Safety - New Orleans - 6'1" 200lbs - 98 Tackles , 1 Int and 6 Forced Fumbles.

1.       Jabbar Gaffney is traded to St Louis Rams for a 5th Round Pick.  Josh McDaniels loves Gaffney and will pull for this trade to happen.

2.       Brady Quinn is traded to KC Chiefs for a 5th Round PIck.  KC has the worst backup in the NFL in Brady Croyle who is winless in 10 games.

1st Round Pick -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------    DaQuan Bowers - DE - Clemson - 6'4" 280lbs - Bowers had 16 Sacks and over 25 Tackles for loss.  Teaming with Elvis Dumervil will give Denver 2 of the best Pass Rushing DE's in the NFL.  Side note - Robert Ayers will rotate in on running downs.

2nd Round PIck ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------   Jimmy Smith - CB - Colorado - 6'2" 205lbs - Denver drafts this tall CB who has only gave up 11 completions in 2 years.

2nd Round PIck ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------   Phil Taylor - DT - Baylor - 6'4" 337lbs - Taylor has NFL Size and has been playing extremely well at The Senior Bowl and will give Denver a HUGE DT.

 3rd Round Pick ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------   Robert Sands - S - West Virginia - 6'4" 220lbs - 46 Tackles , 2 Sacks and 1 Int.

5th Round Pick(via St Louis)----------------------------------------------------------------------    Henry Hynoski - FB - Pittsburgh - 6'2" 260lbs - Denver drafts this big FB.

5th Round PIck(via KC)-----------------------------------------------------------------------------    Jordan Cameron - TE - USC - 6'5" 245lbs -  Denver drafts this good TE.

6th Round Pick ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------     Weslye Saunders - TE - South Carolina - 6'5" 267lbs - Denver goes back to back TE.

6th Round Pick ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------     Damien Berry - RB - MIAMI -5'11" 205lbs - Berry is a very solid RB in 6th.

Denver's Starting Defense

DaQuan Bowers ----------------------   Justin Bannan --------------  Phil Taylor ------------    Elvis Dumervil

Chad Greenway --------------------------------- DJ Williams ------------------    Mario Haggan

Champ Bailey ----------------   Roman Harper ---------------------   Darcel McBath ---------------  Perrish Cox

Final Thoughts

I think John Fox will make this defense aggressive and Fox will improve Denver's poor Sack total with the addition of Bowers.

Bowers = 16 Sacks = Could be future Pro Bowl DE

Jimmy Smith = 6'2" 200lbs CB = excellent CB

Phil Taylor = BIG DT who will allow our LB's to make plays like Minnesota's big DT's

Robert Sands = could be eventual starter at Safety.
