Updated Mock (Mock Only)
With players falling and rising up the boards fast, a weekly updated is needed.
The only trade I will predict is Kyle Orton to Min for there 2nd the 43rd pick overall.
I see the Broncos getting a 2nd especially if Charlie Whitehurst went for a 3rd last year, and
even more if McDaniels ends up on Min coaching staff.
Assuming we keep our 3-4:
1st Round
2nd Overall
Patrick Peterson CB, LSU:
With the Bailey and Cox uncertainty we need to adress this postion, Peterson is
the best CB Prospect out of the SEC since Champ Bailey.
4-3 Alternate: Da'Quan Bowers DE, CLemson
2nd Round
36 Overall
Jared Crick DT, NEB
Crick is a hugh guy, who has great wing span, that can disrupt the back field, and get the ball carrier. With his wing
span can knock some more balls down or up at the line of scrimage to cause more turnovers,
I have him play a DE in our 3-4
4-3 Alternate: Jimmy Smith CB, CU
43 Overall(From Min: Kyle Orton)
Phil Taylor DT, BU
Taylor is a space eater and would learn from one of the best DT, Jmall Williams
He would be able to play NT in our 3-4
4-3 Alternate: Rahim Moore FS, UCLA
46 Overall(From Mia: Brandon Marshall)
Martez Wilson ILB, ILLinois
We desperately need another ILB to eat home some space and stop the run and at 6-4 250
and runs a 4.55 40 Yard dash Wilson would be able to do that, even though I really
thought about a Kyle Rudolph here becasue we desperatly need a TE, we need a good defense more.
4-3 Alternate: Marvin Austin DT, NC
3rd Round
67 Overall
Kenny Tate FS, Maryland
This guy is flying up the board, and may not be here, if he is we have to pull the trigger,
hes a beast and would add some agreesivness to our D.
4-3 Alternate: Casey Matthews LB Oregon
The rest of the draft is most likely looking for a power RB, a TE, Defensive Depth, or a FB.
There are so many players on my Radar its getting more difficult to make mocks as we get closer and we only just
begun. I am looking
at Primarily D, however wouln't get completly upset if will ended up with either Mikel Leshoure RB or Kyle Rudolph
TE somewhere in the 2nd.. Thanks for Reading.

I like Robert Snads
I have no idea why people are down on him, he’s a baller (trust me).

Snads? Uh.....I mean Sands
"When Tim Tebow does pushups, he's not pushing himself up, he's pushing the world down."
Why would you need to draft a FS if you’ve drafted Peterson? The real value of Peterson is that he is both the best FS in this year’s draft and one of the two best CB’s. He can and should play both positions for us. Which will allow us to rotate the entire secondary on and off the field to keep their legs fresh — and prolong the careers/performance of the oldsters. He’s a twofer pick. No need to use a second pick on the secondary this year if we pick Peterson. Next year, we’ll need to pick up a SS but that’s next year.
yibberat....
You are spot on. I have been saying this for the longest time but people can’t get the “CB only” mantra out of their heads.
Heck
I wouldn’t mind resigning Champ + draft Peterson, just to play FS until needed at #1 CB.

We need both!
Id draft him to be our starting CB, Your assumption is like saying way draft a Guard and a Center or a DT and a DE, in reality they are different positions that both need addressed. IF we drafted Peterson with the 2nd you still need a S, tell me any play-maker at S position, the only way I would agree with you is if we resigned Champ, other then that im not content rotating a secondary that is one of the worst in the league, However If your content rotating the likes of , Hill, McBath, Bruton, Jones (CB who Plays S) and Dawkins feel free, I would like some fresh legs that are actually worth rotating.
Although Peterson is a heck of a player....
….even Champ will tell you doesn’t matter how great the CBs if you can’t rush the passer. A great pass rush can protect so-so CBs; however, great CBs cannot protect a bad pass rush. I believe we need to go with one defensive line with our first pick.
"Pain don't hurt" - Swayze (Road House) -- We miss you man!
Defensive line isn’t the main pass rush responsibility in a 3-4. OLB is. And we saw what happened this year when we only have one starter level OLB and he gets injured.
The top 3-4 OLB is Robert Quinn. And since he’s bigger than Doom he can also play a 4-3 right DE if we do that. He’s probably the in the top 5 right 4-3 DE. He’d be my second choice. and if we don’t pick Quinn, I’ll bet Buffalo does right behind us at #3.
But honestly, with a top-2 pick, you gotta solve multiple position problems if you can. That doesn’t happen every year. Not just upgrade a single position. There are solid OLB 3-4’s available in the second round — and solid 3-4 DE’s (a lower value position) in the 3rd. So I like the Peterson pick
And we get back Doom...
That alone won’t solve our pass rushing woes, but having the NFL’s sack leader will go a long way to improving that area, along with Ayers being a 3rd year player.
I personally love Peterson and Crick to shore up our defense, and I support keeping Peterson at CB. Look at the Jets, they don’t have one big time star pass rusher, but Revis and Chromartie allow for that defense to create a pass rush from multiple players

Like it all except I'm not sold on the Phil Taylor talk
Last year we were so desperate for a NT that just about any fan on here would have taken the kid SD took in rd 2 or 3. He went rd. 5. People wanted Dan Williams with #11 and he went #26 (not a huge difference). My point is that we shouldn’t take a player just cause we need that position. It will set this franchise back if we draft for need and don’t consider BPA. taking a NT just because he is big or dominated lesser talent is horrible draft logic. I’m not saying you are using bad draft logic but in a class that is not deep with good NT prospects I would rather pass, especially with our 2nd round pick.
Love the Martez wilson pick up. Love the safeties. Love Crick but I would rather take another DE in place of Taylor, maybe Cameron Heyward or even a TE if Rudolph is there (although I might rather have DJ Williams later).
Tim Tebow wears 3WM and drinks Tuscan whole milk.
