Idk if that is an underhanded insult (“Timmy” sounds like a child) or because Elway has become closer/now embraces Tebow.

Not an insult...I think Elway is all in. He is even speaking about how he wants to work with Tebow next off season. It seems like Elway has a fondness for him.

i know what you’re saying but everyone close to tebow seems to call him timmy and elway’s been calling him that from day one. you can tell elway sincerely likes him and is rooting for him but i’m sure he’s also more concerned about finding the guy who’ll win for the broncos.

I think it is condescending and even the way Fox says Tim Tee-bow sounds condescending to me.

I think that they are both caving to the fans.

No. They are just caving to the horrendous play that came from Orton.

It just so happens that fans were chanting for the guy on the bench at the same time.

best thing about that clip

is how the interviewer keeps asking about tebow as if it was elway’s decision and elway keeps subtly redirecting back to fox, as in “i wasn’t in that meeting” or “john (fox) made the move at halftime”, etc.

it’s a good to see that elway’s not sticking his fingers in too much of the bronco pie.

(sorry about the bronco pie thing).
