Palmer traded to Raiders for a 1st round pick in 2012
Palmer is now a Raider, good for them. I guess Orton is happy to be staying a Bronco this year, since he does not want to move...

The 2013 pick is conditional.

still a dumb move
why would you mortgage possibly 2 first rounders for Palmer? I mean I like Palmer, but geesh! He’s no Manning or Brady!
Q: Where do you go in Miami in case of hurricane?
A: To Dolphin Stadium - they never get a touchdown there.
True
NFL.com is reporting a 2012 1st round pick and a future 2nd round pick that can turn into 1st round based on Palmer’s performance. Wow, that is a lot for a 31 years old QB…
my thoughts exactly!

Whew! that was close!
I actually thought the Raiders would be better off without Al (God rest his soul), but no they give up way too much for an over the hill average QB. They do not have a pick until the 5th Round next year!!! Love it, thanks Raiders.
yeah, wow.
way too much for palmer. the guy is aging, damaged goods. he hasn’t been the same since the knee blowout. not even close. i’d have been pissed if the broncos pulled something like that. oh and by the way, thanks for everything, jason campbell. …???

For that price why not just get Romo?

I really was hoping them
To give us Michael Bush and maybe a mid-pick for Kyle =(
But, althought we are still stuck with Kyle, they made me laugh with this overpaid trade. Thank you Raiders! LOL
This signature was sacked by Von Miller.
I bleed Orange & Blue.
What does that say about Orton though?
He can be had for a 3rd or 4th rounder, is still in his 20s and the Raiders would rather give up 2 1st rounders for a 31-year-old with bad knees? Orton has zero value in the NFL.
How do you spell television ratings? T-E-B-O-W. At least more Bronco games will likely be on national broadcast.
Dang!
Does anyone know how many picks the raiders have in the 2012 draft? This is amazing to watch a team morgage away their future like this. I just don’t get it. You build through the draft, not trade all your picks away for players teams don’t want. This could spell trouble for the raiders for along time.

Right now 3 I think
and their 1st is in the 5th round but they will probably get a 3rd from losing Nmandi and 5 or 6th from losing Gallery and Miller.
And now for something completely different

They better hope that Palmer actually has more than 1 or 2 years left otherwise this trade is dumb.
I doubt Palmer will be ready to go by sunday so it’s looking like the Broncos will be the 1st team to see him this year in 3 weeks (Raiders bye is next week).
This also shows how much confidence they have in Campbell for the future… guess he won’t be returning next year.
And now for something completely different
Campbell probably goes to IR
Palmer still has to pass the physical for the Raiders. I wouldn’t be shocked to see him playing Sunday, it’s not very hard to turn and hand the ball off to McFadden.

I strongly think the Raiders are dedicating this season to Al Davis by shooting for it all
…but I am not sure they are quiet there yet as a team, but emotions have brought the most in humans, so you never know, the coaches might be playing that game.
Also, I think Raiders are the best team in AFC-W this year, and even the last year I think they were better than the rest of us.
I think I just threw up saying the above…
