For all those who will point at the latest Broncos effort and scream it's Tebow time. For all those who wanted Tebow starting from preseason. And for all of us that want something more from the QB position in Denver. Do not throw your disdain at Fox, McCoy, Elway, Orton or anyone else in the Broncos organization, throw your anger at the only person who deserves it...Tim Tebow.
How can I throw blame at the anoighted savior of the Broncos, plain and simple...if Tebow worked as hard as he said, or put in the time he said he would, he would of shown that he was the best option at QB.
We all know what we are getting from Orton. I know it, you know it, Fox knows it, Elway knows it, Orton knows it. A medicorce QB who cannot match the elite QB of the league. A guy who everything has to go exactly right for hi to win. A game "manager". But someone that no one in their right mind sees as a franchise QB longterm. The Bears knew that fact, and McD even knew that fact after the 1st season, why else do you trade for Quinn and draft Tebow.
What this boils down to is Mr. Tebow has not proven or shown is that he can be someone the franchise thinks can be special. He is basically a better version of Bradlee Van Pelt. A "winner" in college with intangibles but who cannot play the NFL QB position with the profeciency needed to be elite.
Insted of writting a memoir, instead of doing talk shows, instead of playing golf..your savior should of been working with any QB coach that he could find to hone his footwork, delivery, and knowledge of NFL defenses. He should of shown up day one at training camp and been smoking Kyle Orton in every drill and making it obvious that he should be starting. Don't give me the whole arguement he has to learn, he had four years in colege, a full NFL season and a two whole offseasons. If he is as dedicated to being a QB, he needs to understand where his failures have been and where he needs to improve. Look at what Cam Newton is doing, everyone here said Tebow was a much better prospect (something I laugh at now) and somehow Tebow seems years behind a guy that started one year of D-1 ball and basically had to learn an NFL offense amd timing with players in training camp.
The fact that Tebow cannot legitimately unseat Orton is Tebow failing, not the coaching staff or management. The staff is paid to win games, they put the best team they can on the field to accomplish that. Tebow hasn't shown or proved he belongs ahead of Orton, and that is his fault. I am not going to fault a staff that wants to win and has a collective fear that Tebow will hamper that effort while he "learns". If the Broncos lose next week, and that looks likely, then fine, give Tebow the ball and lets see if he can actually become an NFL QB.
But those of you who somehow think that the coaches and management don't understand the QB position, I have to laugh. Don't you think they would of loved to have Tebow starting this season, don't you think they would of loved to have Orton playing in Miami or somewhere else. The fact he isn't starting is again Tebow issue, not theirs. Start throwing your frustration where it belongs and that is on the fact that Tebow is not the QB that you think he is and hasn't progressed to where he should be to be a starting QB.
