The Draft Value Index: Drafting by the numbers - Cat Scratch Reader
This is something I started working on during the offseason, but was never compelled to finish it. But now, with our list of needs in next years draft getting longer by the minute, it seems like a valuable tool that we could use. With Thomas Davis and Jeff Otah's future both very uncertain, we have positions that went very quickly from strengths to weaknesses that we might need to address in the draft.

Broncos vs Dolphins Studs and Duds - Mile High Report

Playcalling and Production: Miami v. Denver---1st Half - Mile High Report
Hey guys, what a win against those Dolphins huh? One common complaint and theme in the message boards has been the play calling of our offensive coordinator. A different perspective on the game today - Mile High Report
What a great victory. I'm thrilled that Denver was able to pull it out in overtime, from what I heard we looked like crap for three and a half quarters but some Mile High Magic occurred.
Tebow and the Game Plan - Mile High Report
For almost the entire game, I kept begging for them to put Orton back in. This clearly was not the "same offense" that Orton ran. This was a run heavy, run always, run all the time offense that included no passing attack. What is the point of installing a plan for a new quarterback, if you don't plan to pass?

This Tebow quote is awesome, “This isn’t the way we planned it. I know I have to play a lot better. I can make more plays. But who we are as a team came out at the end of the game.”
This quote is why I love Tebow and why we won that game. Again, as one of the many Tebow faithful, I see tangibles with Tim where his critics briefly mention these same things as intangibles.
That I was at the game yesterday is a memory I get to keep forever. Good times.

Totally agree
I was quite impressed with his post-game interview. He took it all on the chin and came out and said “I played bad”. But what he also did was give credit to where it was due, the team around him. He also said that he would get better and that this is what the 2011 Broncos are all about… no quit, fight till the end. How can you not like that in a young QB?
The kid just knows what to say
That’s one of his best qualities… he’s humble in wins and passionate in losses. He takes the blame when appropriate and spreads the credit whenever he can. Things like this shouldn’t be undervalued… I mean would you rather have Orton throwing you under the bus for a fumble after he had a few turnovers all by himself (Green Bay game) or a quarterback that gives credit for those 5 minutes to the team and takes the blame for everything else? I can’t think of anything better than going from a quarterback who “won’t cry over spilled milk” to one who is going to remember it and use it as motivation to force the other team to give us their glass so that we have two next time.
None of us go out and play for stats. You just do whatever you can to help the team out. -- Eddie Royal

Tebow is going to shorten my life
But its going to be one hell of a ride!!!
very excited about our future and love the fact that Oak and SD lost this week!
Kiszla is an idiot.
What a crappy premise. Tebow in his fourth start is 45 comebacks away from Elway. Stop the presses!

So tebow is 2-2 as a starter with both of his wins being comebacks?
Disappointing. I expected more.
Rules to Follow when Talking and/or Engaging Tim Tebow
Rule 1. Don't @#% with Tebow
Rule 2. Re-read Rule 1
Rule 3. Memorize these 3 Rules
This is why I miss Shanhan
“Fox made no apologies for the run-first approach. The Broncos used almost as many two-back or two-tight end formations (19 times) until the Dolphins took that 15-0 lead as they had three-wide receiver looks (21 times).”
“We were running the ball pretty effectively,” Fox said. “I don’t know if you were watching the game the same way I did. We just missed some field goals.”
If that were Shanhan or even gary kubiak this game would have been over early. You guys really think Shanhan would have gotten just two field goal attempts with the way the broncos were running the ball? Those would have been TDs and the broncos would have been scoring early and often not matter who was at QB. McCoy was simply outcoached. Nolan was always two steps ahead of him. If Shanhan even got half of those rushing yards he would have started getting creative and the opposing defense would be lost the whole game. I fully believe most of Tebow’s troubles were because he never got into a rythum until in the 4th quarter—when McCoy actually let him throw the ball. When you’re running the ball well, it’s the perfect time to get a young QB into a rythum. Bootleg action would have been great for Tebow because those plays are nice easy reads that build confidence early in a game. Also I don’t know if McCoy scripts plays or not, but that would also help Tebow early in the game.
I realise that Tebow deserves some blame, but most of the blame has to go on Fox and McCoy.

Very interesting reads. Not too surprising about the content. One thing is for sure: Everyone wants to see more. It’s gonna be an exciting rest of the season. And I don’t even have a clue as to how it will go! Scary…
