This is an open forum about the reality of the Denver Broncos team, organization and Tim Tebow. So feel free to give us some realistic thoughts, opinions and or stats about the above after yesterdays game.
Phew, we finally got a look at the Tim Tebow lead Denver Broncos! I have to tell ya'll, I haven't been so excited for a Broncos game in at least three years! Tim Tebow was really set up to succeed this time. He had just come off of a game where he replaced Kyle Orton and nearly rallied the home team to victory in classic Tim Tebow fashion. Tim Tebow and the Broncos would now have two weeks to get on the same page and would be playing his next start in Tebow's home state against an 0-5 Miami team. The Dolphins had a short week to prepare for the unorthodox (no pun intended) and very dangerous Tim Tebow. It was all coming together for the Broncos and Tim Tebow. Heck, even his ol'College coach was on hand to offer a few last minute suggestions!
Some thought this day would never come, some wished it never would have, some thought this day came too soon and some never saw this day becasue they filled their dresses with rocks and sank to the bottom of the South Platte river. Most fans have either claimed to be pessimistic or optimistic about EFX, Tim Tebow, the current team and the Josh McDaniles era. Similar to the Josh McDaniles era, this QB situation has once again divided the great Denver Broncos fan base. Your either with "us" or againt "us" some would cry. Realistic opinions have all too often been left out of these emotional debates and or been pushed off into the pessimistic category by overly optimistic fans.
Sundays game was a great reality check for us all don't you think? The Broncos and Tim Tebow had two weeks to prepare for an 0-5 team that had only 5 days to prepare for Tim Tebow and the Broncos. The Dolphins looked better prepared and much sharper on defense and offense (except the Miami WRs). The Broncos on the other hand looked unprepared and the game would not even have been close if Miami's WR could have held onto the ball.
Just like some said he would, Tim Tebow looked horrible (for about 50 minutes) and just like some said he would, Tim Tebow looked great (for about 10 minutes). Tim Tebow did will his team to a victory but the last minute heroics were very much necessary only because Tim Tebow played so poorly for most of the game. So did any of these facts sway your opinion of Tim Tebow the NFL QB?
One of the announcers said that EFX called it a building (not a re-building) phase (thanks to Josh McDaniels) and that realistically it would take at least three years to get the job done. That sounds like a realistic time frame to me but a lot of folks here seem to think that the Broncos are a better team than they actually are. So realistically how good are the Broncos right now, does EFX deserve 3 years to build the team that Josh McDaniles broke, how good can Tim Tebow be and how many years will it take for the Broncos to regain some respectability and their winning ways?
